I believe it's supposed to look/be real bootleggy, maybe a mash of vintage style toku toy stuff?

The maker is a nice guy, but i think the fists for eyes look a bit stupid too - so i've declined to comment when he's sent me photos of it multiple times. The versions with a TV for head etc are better looking, but its not the sort of figure i would want in my collection.

Also, he is absolutely bombarding Facebook with his endless 'teasers' and its starting to get annoying. There is nothing wrong with trying to promote a new project you are excited about, but bloody-hell - give us a fucking break occasionally!

Haha, it is a bit much. Even though I dig the teaser aesthetic, I feel it’s trying to bring together too many influences into one toy, yet not near as bad as MechaCreatch.

They are just not very well sculpted or designed. They remind me of that bootleggy star wars line but without the charm.

I miss the days when people learned to sculpt pretty well and THEN used that skill to make cartoony vintage almost bootleg style toys. Seems like people skip that whole first step now.

Nothing will top Mechacreatch in that department.

Is that pricing in Yuan? Please tell me that’s not Yuan.

I think even though its on their website (which is in USD) that price sticker is the Yuan price, yes.

They recently sold a bunch of MVH DX sludgies for $1,000+ USD ($1,620 for a Blobpus painted one is still up). They also currently have a MVH Leviathan up for $3,490 USD.

I see some Universal Monsters based figures in this artist's future. Perhaps some Fink shit

@patrickvaz I saw these prototypes on the explore page about a week ago and wondered how someone could bastardize smashing Headlock’s Bone Head and Sick Boy Billy into one, shitty, Fisher Price bathtub toy. Goddamn thing looks like it was sculpted out of soap in prison. And calling it Knuckleheadz just exacerbates how badly it’s ripped off.

At least that guy only has about 30 likes on subsequent postings... but the audacity to photograph his “original” toy with an actual Headlock Frankie and Sick Boy... duuuude.

Looks like his kickstarter campaign is not going to take off. There is still hope. I hope the 'artist'? will realize this might not be the greatest idea. (He is dedicating this rip off to his mum????????????)

As a 'cookie cutter' shape for biscuits or gingerbread men, it would be fine. As a toy, it should be thrown into a deep dark hole and never spoken of again.

The head just looks like a lazy copy of Kikkake's toy to me. Which is of course taken from a vintage cymbal-crashing monkey toy, but it's nowhere near as cool or inventive as Kikkake's version.
