Cyberpunk is going to be a very welcome distraction from reality. There’s been a lot of “rushed in late stage of development” talk but I have complete faith in CD Projekt. This game is going to be a damn good time. Still trying to figure out which class I’m going to play first...
Finished Ghost of Tsushima last week. This game got me to like open world again! Almost everything was perfect (didn’t care for the little platform challenges). Took a week off then started Valhalla... super bummed with this game. I should have wait for Cyberpunk.
I have a feeling that since I preordered CP2077 on Amazon it’s going to take forever to get to my mailbox.
i’ve got two NEOGEO arcade stick pros running the latest Hylo hack. super fun and the Hylo gang over on telegram is solid. scarlet sprites does a good overview of an older NeoGeo/Capcom only build, jump over to neocvera’s and the Hylo telegram for the latest builds. scarlet sprites neocvera’s for latest news telegram https://t.me/joinchat/B5SjMxlGtX9kwM0wCOoPiA
To me it’s real bad. Compared to Ghost of Tsushima, where I found the story interesting and engaging, the characters are interesting and the actors playing them are good, the combat good enough etcz. With Valhalla, I think the characters aren’t interesting, the voices are terrible (people trying themselves at ‘Viking’ accents) combat is broken... That said, I am just one dude, only ever played Black Flag (which i was super into) and I just finished a game I loved.
I’ve played a handful of Assassins Creed games and this is dead on. The combat is clunky garbage and lackluster story and characters really made this a below average play imo. Definitely a downgrade when you’ve been playing Ghosts Of Tsushima. I’m getting ready to jump into Cyberpunk. Lots of reviews talking about miscellaneous bugs, hope they aren’t too rough
Never thought I'd say this, but reading about the bugs I think I'll let Cyberpunk sit for a bit. Gonna wait for patches, maybe hold off the dolls for a while and get a new PC. Take some time off when life is a bit quieter. Til then I'll be getting my head popped by preteens in Valorant, per usual
I've been on a Digimon kick. I'm playing around with Digimon LCD Pets as an idle-game, and I'm playing the Cyber Sleuth games on Switch, when I have a couple of hours to sit down and focus on an RPG. I'm also trying to get more interested in the Sims 4. It's my wife's favorite game franchise, but I have trouble staying invested. My active Sim, right now, is a mom who is failing, despite her best effort, to meet the needs of her seven clone babies. And whenever friends want to play something, we've been booting up "Among Us." I think it's a really boring game to watch other people play, but it's a blast as a party game, and a great way to introduce your different friend groups to each other. Ah, sweet memories. In the Sims 3 I once played a “serial killer” with a creepy basement. People would come over to his house and I’d kill them by drowning or fire, and his body count slowly grew. Another time I made a super charismatic fat ginger guy who held nonstop parties at his house, and everyone started getting sick of him, and his house slowly became a dumping ground for uneaten food the guests left behind. He then became miserable himself. I had a lot of completely stupid scenarios going on in that game, I loved it. It took a really terrible toll on my laptop though. I didn’t have a desktop back then.
You should build a PC! /r/buildapc is full of people who are so helpful. I love my Frankencomputer. Can just swap out parts when they get old. I bought a GTX Geforce 2060 Super earlier in the year specifically to play Cyberpunk 2077 with decent graphics, but of course it got pushed back so ridiculously that my card is now a generation behind. I just hope my CPU can keep up with it, I think that’s next on the chopping block. I am loving what I’ve been hearing so far about the game. It has a ton of bugs from what I’ve read, and almost every negative review is either “wah wah I thought this was going to be primarily a shooter” and “wah wah my computer can’t handle it”. A story-based narrative is exactly what I’m looking for, and I think my computer can at least run it on medium settings, so these reviews aren’t dissuading me from being excited about it at all. I do agree with waiting for a patch though. The complaints about trees spawning in the sky and NPCs T-posing at random are pretty frequent so it definitely needs a fix. I can’t wait to play it once they do send out a patch.
Oh god is it addictive. I’m AR 43 and working on ascension from 70 to 80. All I can really do now is daily quests/expeditions/using my resin, and if there’s one available, event stuff. Just waiting for new content.
Got cyberpunk on ps4 pro and it runs like hot garbage, lol. Crashes every two hours and its buggy to boot. It is still super fun. Its like witcher 3 and fallout 4 got a reskin with a combat system thats fun. I would say wait if youre not too into the witcher's narrative style, lots of lore and sidequests to read and small talk to have. I like this kind of rpg a lot.
I’m playin on the ps4 pro as well and that’s how I feel. It’s soooo buggy, almost laughable at times. That said, I’m enjoying it. The story and characters are really interesting and it’s loaded with side stuff to do. The combat controls well enough but damn it looks clunky sometimes. Looking forward to some more patches tho, the bugs aren’t game destroying for me but I find myself shaking my head a lot
I’ve only been able to play for 4 hours (only 2h 30m of the actual game) on PC, but damn. The graphics looked AWFUL. Everything was blurry on character creation, it felt like my eyes weren’t focused properly. It took me a good chunk of time to play around with the settings and find solutions online. I had to turn off Ray Tracing and a few other settings for it to finally look good. Then I made my character. Made a badass nomad dude with navy hair and green highlights. (I’m pretty happy with the character creation, there are a lot of facial options to choose from.) I then started the game! My character looked in a mirror and then spoke out... in a female voice. I HAD FORGOTTEN TO SWITCH TO MALE. Devastated, I had to try my hardest to remember the choices I had made to make that same character. Not the best first experience, but it was essentially my fault. With the actual gameplay I only managed to get to my apartment, but the events leading up to that point were pretty fun. I only have seen two bugs, one being random low-res street signs during the driving sequence, and the other being the “floating guns” bug people have been talking about. For a split second an enemies guns were floating, and then it quickly snapped back. Nothing game-breaking. I’m looking forward to getting back to it, but between Genshin Impact daily tasks and my health I just don’t seem to have any time.
Decided to wait on Cyberpunk (what's another year?) and got the new Yakuza game instead. It has the jank you've come to know and love but the graphics no longer look straight out of the PS3 era, the new characters are a joy and I think they've quietly fixed one of my biggest problems with the series, by giving you a party of friends to run around with. I've heard there are a couple of rough difficulty spikes and that it becomes grindy at times, but I'd definitely recommend it as an entry-point to the series alongside Yakuza 0.
I'm still building settlements in Fallout 4, providing every settler with matching military garb, armor and high powered sniper rifles, bazookas, miniguns or fatboys. Unfortunately we don't see attacks as often as we like
Still playing cyberpunk after the refunds fiasco over the weekend. It’s a really fun game, but even after 5 patches and three million terabytes of storage I don’t think it will get better on the ps4 anytime soon. They might even drop it as a priority now that Sony said to wait. Dunno, I think all my friends that stayed away made the right move. I still like it, but so far I have not been able to play longer than 90mins straight without it crapping out and every time I open a menu or interact with something I pray it doesn’t crash. Lol
I’m stepping back from Cyberpunk for a while and I’m going to start Like A Dragon. I was hesitant because of the turned based combat but I really want to get back into the Yakuza world. They are some of my favorite games. Six was so much fun, I still jump on to play baseball every now and again
I m taking a (forced) break from video games after the deception of Valhalla and Cyberpunk. Tried again Valhalla after Cyberpunk crash on me one last time yesterday. I fail to care for any of it. I might give a try at those yakuza games soon ...
