The original Boba Fett. Mr Bulloch passed away today at the age of 75. He seemed to really embrace the Star Wars phenomenon and his place in it. I’m glad he lived long enough to know Boba lived. And I hope he was able to screen the season finale of the Mandalorian early.
Posted on the gram but I still remember his voice...Such a minor part and minor screen time...but I loved the og fett. So much mystery. It's great that his legacy lives on...
It actually wasn't his voice, even in the original versions (that having been dubbed over by Jason Wingreen, and then later, and terribly replaced by Temuera Morrison to align with the prequels) - but the point still stands. He brought the character to life on screen, and even in those briefest of moments solidified what was a growing fan mystery into the massive favourite and recognisable, even iconic, villain Boba Fett came to be. All the stories I have heard/read of him were that he was ever humble and embraced the love that the role had given him. Sorry to hear of his passing, as another actor from the original trilogy heads off to that galaxy far, far away. Incidentally, because I appreciate others are not necessary ubergeeks like myself, among his many other on-screen roles Mr. Bulloch can actually be identified in Empire sans-mask, portaying an Imperial Officer on Bespin [a Lieutenant Sheckil, such a Star Wars name ] one of the men Lando turns on when he reveals his change of heart to Leia and Chewbacca. And for further reference, passing on to 0:58 in the clip below you can catch (and hear) him as Hal the archer in Doctor Who. Sad to hear of his passing. May he RIP.
