I can buy a crappy, cheap PC to type, but the hours I had put on the thesis and grants I need to be working on is worth me punting your children and your grandma with steel toed boots.

Gatiio, I'm sorry to hear about that! I know this is a long shot, but do you live in an area that might have street cameras (i.e. on top of light poles at major intersections...)? If so, is there a possibility of contacting the transportation or utilities dept in charge of them with an approximate time of the robbery? Not sure if the robbers were dumb enough to hand carry the gear out of your apartment and onto the street, or if anything might show up on cameras, but if all else fails, this might be a possibility? Street cameras are becoming more common here in California, and this is one instance where a privacy annoyance might turn into something beneficial. Good luck with recovering your work.

P.S. any chance of recovering your work from your office computer? My heart goes out to you, and I hope something will resolve itself in your favor.

Sorry to read gatiio. I can empathize with you. I once had my apartment broken into three separate times. Twice in under a weeks time and on my birthday. I can relate with the hate. You feel violated and creeped out that some strange cunt was in your home, amongst your things and personal space. Hopefully he gets run over by a fucking bus.

A big FUCK YOU goes out to the two desk clerks at the emergency room. Wouldn't let me back to see my family because they had to fix their log in screen before anyone could go back. So they made me sit down and then they have the nerve to not inform me of my mother's passing while just letting me sit there and wait. I had no clue she had passed and the rest of my family was in the back grieving wondering where the hell I was. FUCK YOU.

 

my apartment was broken into and my dvd collection stolen a few years ago. obviously crackheads looking to drop them off at blockbuster and make some quick crack cash. I scoured my neighborhood all day, and swore I would run them over with my car if I saw them walking around.

a girl I dated once had her house broken into and they stole heirlooms and sifter through all her panties and stuff. real creeps.
