Seriously amazing what you've accomplished w/ rit dye.
The fading on it is perfect.

    It looks really great!
Does the dye stay on well or rub off on your fingers?

Yeah, looks very very nice! Does the dye penetrate the vinyl well?

    :)
Thanx for the positive comments guys. I am always a bit apprehensive about posting my dyed customs as I know that dye is frowned upon by many, if not most.
The vinyl holds the dye very well and I have seen no signs of leakage or dye transfer. The key is to dye the vinyl without saturating it to the point where it cannot hold the dye. I am gonna perform a white t-shirt test later with this guy to really get a firm test on dye leakage.
It's all very experimental at this point which I find makes it even more fun.

He does look a bit like cherry wood. I had thought that myself. A cool, unintended effect. I had actually considered leaving him like this because of that wood look. But I think I am gonna paint the eyes, teeth and maybe the belt buckle...

so is it more than 1 color dye or just saturation control over different portions with the same color?

LOVING the pink one. Great fade!!!

Is there really an anti-dye contingent? Why one earth would anybody be opposed to that?

I can't imagine that many people are against dying vinyl- I've incorporated dying into quite a few of my customs... probably around 9-10 or them. And Melek- that Chaos is fucking nuts. I'd love to have that guy in my collection.

    I could be wrong.
But I have gathered that dye is, at least looked on with a bit of distrust.

The Pink/Purple Evil is one of my favorites. Really had fun with that one.

Thanx hellopike. I could make a similar one, but that one has been in the collection of iron_horse for quite some time now.

I thought of posting some in progress pics for the pink Evil, but I'd have to dig them up and I don't know if anyone cares.

    KILLER! Simple and beautiful...

Dying is a great way to change the base color without having to use a whole bottle of V-color!
