He's actually NOT going....way to bring up a touchy subject.

 

This is gonna be way fun... I'm looking forward to geeking out as a group in the toy shops.

Where's the all-metal karaoke bar? The only one I can think of is the place with the giant alien busting out of the building that has Slayer. That one is awesome, but it's definitely not all metal (last time I went some dude did nothing but sing really off-key anime songs).

 

Anyone have any recommendations on places to stay?

They're cheap, clean, and apparently have an English-speaking staff. I went with the one in Ikebukuro instead of the one in Chiyoda-ku. The one in Chiyoda-ku seems to be more hostel than hotel, although it still gets great reviews.

Hey can anyone confirm whether the Super7 is show is on Friday or Saturday?
The blog said Friday but the most recent mail out said Saturday???

 

My understanding is the Thrashout show is Saturday.

 

Has a full itinerary with meetings times and places for the three (?) days of fun been sent out yet? I am feeling like I should probably start doing a little planning for this trip to another country, heheh...

I do have to warn you guys- I just got back from Tokyo- theres not many toys left now.

I am curious, how many foks are going to be staying in Tokyo after the weekend? I am there until the 6th, and def. wouldn't mind coordinating some other stuff with folks who are there for the S7 tour, non-toy-related even *GASP!* for the week. I'm even thinking overnight trip somewhere, preferably incorporating a shinkansen ride. Museums, galleries, shows, nightclubs, pachinko, theater, this, that, the other...

But no Shinto Gangu! RxH shop will be closed for expansion and renovations.....
