Did anyone notice the price difference between CJ Mart & Rakuten order pages ?
One seems to have the japanese taxes removed, CJ Mart, but not Rakuten... Maybe this is corrected once billed ?

I believe prices from CJ Mart is without Japanese tax since the items are exported.
Not sure if the total prices including shipping from CJ Mart is worthwhile vs ordering directly from a local distributor where you are located.
Probably makes sense for items that are not available through local distributors.

"Local distributor" and "Sofubi" cannot be paired in the same sentence where I live

So I'm about to cut and assemble the only AA that I own. I'm nervous to cut into the beautiful virgin vinyl though, as I've never cut arm and leg holes before. Is this green arrow pointing at where I should be cutting?

^ Thanks! Yeah I'm definitely going to heat it up really well first, I don't want to end up stabbing myself a ton.

Should I cut even further into the flat section, rather than right along the edge then?

^^ I would try to stay pretty close but maybe don't follow right on the line..? I've only assembled a couple toys, so maybe someone with more experience can chime in.

Got a PM with some good advice - I'm going to cut the hole a little smaller than right along the line and try it out, then if I need to cut the hole a little bigger I can. You can always make the hole bigger, but not smaller. :)

I would start maybe a 1/4" from the inner seam and then slowly work your way to the place you want to be (the green arrow). Especially if you're not experienced using a utility knife (and sofubi vinyl is kinda tough) you don't want it slipping and cutting the sidewall by mistake. It's safer and easier if you leave yourself a margin of error and then slowly trim until you get to the inner seam. If you cut too little, you can always fix it but if you cut too much, you're stuck. That's my advice anyhoo.

I also started by cutting a center hole in each opening to give the knife room to maneuver and then worked from the center to the edge, trimming a little at a time.

Pay for Anraku preorder... pay rent... pay bills. I can only imagine how many releases there will be in the future. Every sculpt is going to be released?

As if bearbricks weren't already a gateway drug for some!

Are they still worth anything? I have a huge collection I've been meaning to sell.

It's very much one of those trash/treasure type situations... I've been collecting them for over ten years now and if people know what they are looking at they will pay good money for Be@rbricks. On the other hand I have been bringing the same bucket of sealed doubles to the local toy fair here in Brisbane for a few years now and nobody blinks at them unless it's a licensed collab.

I hope Medicom starts working with more sofubi artists as 'Artist' or 'Secret' be@rbricks... There is also a Negora secret chase in this series as well. How fucking awesome would a Gargamel bear be for example??

Anyway back to the subject - can anybody confirm from the card that this is actually AA?
