The placement of these balls really creeps me out. As if he were swinging them right at you...
The placement reminds me of the Goonies when they glue the dick upside down. There's a whole bunch of bearbrick designs in the first couple of posts on the blog.
Standard Tanuki Good Luck Nuts Yawl, don't get intimated
perhaps they have ovaries
I wish the vinyl version had the 'nuki nuts.
I prefer the bear brick design to the sofubi one this time. Clever.... placement? Lol
I might've been more tempted to purchase one if it did.
Does anyone know of CJ Mart's deadline for the latest pre-order offers?
Until January 31st.
I too would have bought them if they had a more "adult" vibe. I did not order them because they looked too much like an ordinary children toy.
Edited to avoid redundancy. I'm stupid
I make custom resin testicles for all my kaiju. PM me for price quotes. All colors and sizes! Big discounts for bulk orders! Enter the code SANTASNUTZ for a great holiday discount!
Well, you obviously don't know that the distinctive feature of Tanukis are their huge balls. All around Japan are scattered ceramic Tanukis each displaying bigger balls than the previous one.
So removing this feature when doing a Tanuki toy is removing all the fun.
Has anyone noticed the size difference in the new Goga compared to the earlier Goga?
The newest Goga is at least an inch taller then the first one. I only noticed this since I could not fit the new one onto the shelf my old one was on. Is anyone else experiencing this?
Who's talking about removing them? I'm talking about adding them. I do indeed know about the ginormous nuts of the Tanuki. Giant nuts on figures are nothing but fun. Hopefully your comment is sarcasm like mine, otherwise you missed the point of my post entirely.
Are you sure? It looks like the OG legs are in a little different
placement going on the pic it is leaning forward somewhat?
Orange one is my favorite of all the versions out there,
its perfect. Is the new version the same weight as old?
Thanks for the suggestion kichigai - Yeah - feet are set the same and the new one still has height over the older one....don't have a small scale to weigh them to see if there is a weight difference.
By chance could you take some measurements of each mold part (legs, torso ect) so we can see where the changes occurred?
@Autopsy- very interesting! Could it be the legs are longer? How about the tail? Does it drop off easily? I wonder if Medicom tweaked the tail issue and ended up elongating the legs.
Goga has a tail issue?
Could also be an age issue. Vinyl is a soft material. With time the weight of the head on the front could have caused the little guy to hunch over. The way will all will when we reach ripe old age.
Like the other people who bought the goga, mine has that same weird tail connection that doesn't stay in. Anraku is making the money.
Yes.The connection is more like a clip on effect. Not that it'll drop off when you pick it up but you can easily pluck of the tail.
Interesting about the tail, I've never had problems with mine being overtly loose or falling off.
Looks like the next batch of preorders has dropped domestically. Folks are already flipping them on YJA. The Dako looks pretty good, at least through the double bag.
The tail on my PK Goga didn't fit properly, almost like the vinyl was warped, but my other few are fine
Saw this on IG...
Looking forward to my Dako trio - the only pre-orders I went for
^ Ouch, that's bad...
Any info on the Dako deliveries? I saw them already on YJA (og headers and inserts and all), but haven't heard anything else.
