Wanted to give you guys a heads up before posting on IG, but TAG has very few Small and Large Lucky Bags up for pre order.
I honestly wouldn't really call these lucky bags since you pretty much know what your going to get for about 80% of the bag. It would have been nice if they threw in some painted prototypes or something to spice it up at least for the prices they want. But for the beginner Anraku Ansaku collector i can see the appeal.
I grabbed a small bag just for the mini unpainted goga. When I saw it, I thought it was a customizers dream bag.
I dont think they are too expensive for the amount of pieces you are getting. Im sure they would want way more if they threw in painted ones. From what ive seen and heard from people that have visited the factory, Medicom's treats the production line as they would for a boxed up mass market retail store. Don't mean that as a knock to them, but I think anything that was painted and thrown in wouldn't give you the feeling you'd get from a Gargamel bag. Crazy pours for the bags would have been the best.
Grabbed mine via CJ Mart once they extended sales from 'shop only' They came in clear inner/outer bags so no surprise at all once you open the box! Great to get a nice selection of figures for a good price ...much prefer blanks to some of the Medicom paint jobs (maybe that's just me?)
This is the first time an anraku ansaku lucky bag has been available to the general public. It's pretty amazing. I love that everyone has an opportunity unlike many many years ago.
Anraku and I have a love-hate relationship. I LOVE ther toys but most don't seem to work on my shelf. But that blue drunk boy I will have to agree it's fucking gorgeous
I wasn't all to thrilled with the other clear Goga but loved the way the mini was painted for that set. I am glad they are releasing this in March. This is a must have for me! Also these mini's being released in March.
Hmmm was wondering if the large Goga in that set is GID? I read the translated text and it made the claim it is the reverse of the current set and since the baby Goga in that set is GID maybe this time the large Goga is? The translations on google are always so bad and cryptic so you never know- even though I could find nowhere where it said glow. That pic though of the new set- you can sort of see a distinct off white yellowing (as opposed to bright white) usually a indicator of glow vinyl. Might be the lighting in the photo though. Obviously if it is glow I'm going to try for this myself!
Yes, it does say it is glow. Sadly this will be a Medicom Plus shop limited edition and not an open pre-order. Blah Booo!
Fuck a duck really? I saw that plus on the description and figured as much! Damn it. Well thanks for confirming the glow, I didn't see it in my google translation but I refuse to use Chrome so I'm probably getting the shaft on translations.
The more recent Anraku in-store releases have not been that difficult to come by in the auction aftermarket… Do you think this is going to be any more or less rare than the previous releases? I'm jonezin hard-core for the big guy. Never in a million years ever thought I would have this many Gogas is in my life, especially since I don't really collect multiple sculpts in the first place.
