it is a very tricky thing to take a large scale medicom release of a classic figure like Booska or Garamon and inject a little bit of one's quirkiness without diverging too far from the classic. I think Anraku has done this. I suppose anything Medicom releases is a cash grab??? Don't we want them selling toys and keeping larger audience interested? Hard to see that as bad. Regarding "digitally rendered slop..." - something is either slop or not. It doesn't really matter if you hand sculpted or painted something - that in of itself does not make it good. If you have a real critique of the shape or paint or whatever your issue is, maybe try to elucidate rather than crap all over someone else's work. Yeah, it isn't his original work - it is a licensed piece. That isn't a critique.
Go back a few pages, people here have been clearly articulating their issues with the sculpts since at least 2022.
I've read the entirety of this thread multiple times. Agree, its not new. Not sure if it is a critique or a complaint but calling something digital slop is still lazy. Still applies that it isn't the medium that makes something bad.
Id rather live in a less than perfect world where the master is still making toys digitally and money and hopefully enjoying himself as much as possible than one where he is suffering, not working and destitute.
