    set a standard size

or like the length and width add up to about the same

11x17 could trade with a 20x8 or something like that

well...i'm thinking that we're going to post the pieces we have for trade. the post should have size and medium listed, and if one artist is fine with trading a colored piece for b&w, then it is really up to the 2 if they agree.

Cool. It looks like it's going to be fun. So here are the specs.

Art Work: Anything. Be free and express yourself.
Work Size: Minimum size is 8.5"x11"
    Max Size 11"x14"
    Due Date(post date): Feb 15.
Entry due date: Anybody can submit by the end of the due date

Trade method: I'm thinking maybe everyone posts what they have done here at the due date. Then everyone posts the top three they want. the first to post the wants will be theirs and so on.
This is just my thought on how to trade, but if anyone got better ideas, please feel free to share. Kinda my first time doing a trade off. So I will like to know more ideas. remeber, this is just for fun. So don't get mad at the end if you don't get what you want. ;)

oh crap...I have sheets of 8"x10" bristol. Maybe I'll cut down a couple of 4"x17" sheets.
I probably won't do any RxH, SB, or Gargamel characters for this. I just wouldn't feel right about making something using their characters. I don't feel that they have been around long enough for me to use freely...unlike Godzilla, Ultraman, Gatchaman and others...but that's just me.

I think a random trade would be the best.
This way you won't have people who feel left out if their art isn't wanted as much as others.
I can help run this trade like the ones they have at the other place.
There'll be a set number of spots open.
People sign up if they want to trade.
Set a deadline when pieces needs to be done and mailed.
And once people have received what they get in trade, they can post a pic of it.

what? so you put up your art, and then get someone else random piece in return, kind blind box style?
i am not sure if i like that idea. i was really excited about seeing everyones art, and possibly working out trades. but i would want the person who gets mine to want it and have picked it out. maybe i just don't get how this is all going to work. forgive me if i am being retarded.

your not being retarded. I just felt like it's a fun thing. But like I said, if people got suggestions, let me know.
Also, whthalo has volunteered to help me out in this. So if any, he will also answer some questions and help this thing go smoothly and fun.

There are a few ways this can go down.

    1. We can go with BEYOND's original idea and have people just post up what they have done by the 15th.
And from there it's a first come, first served basis of who wants to get what art.
One problem I see with this is the fact that if a lot of people are going for the same piece, some artists might feel like their stuff isn't up to par.

    2. My other idea was a random trade, but I guess some people aren't into the whole blind trade.
I'd figure with this, people can concentrate on producing something that they enjoy, and are able to share it with others.

Feel free to post anymore ideas and suggestions of how this should be run.

i don't know that would be kind of fun, i just wouldn't want someone to get mine and be like "huh". i don't know...
i would rather see people's art and pm them about my interest, if they like mine and want to trade they couold simply write back, if not, don't reply. no hurt feelings. no one knows who got the most pms about their art. then you can just take them down off the board when they have been traded. it could be and on going thing. it would be exciting to check the thread everyday and see if anyone put something new up.
    i don't know maybe i am weird...

    I'm in!

I actually like the idea of a blind trade. If you are posting that you're in, it's safe to say we won't get a crappy crayon drawing of Barney humping a Mogwai. OMG, I have an idea for my drawing!!!!

well, i love everyones art work. To me it's like going out seeing new places. I'm sure everyone here will enjoy what they have gotten, in either way it goes.
For now, lets just have fun and draw and show. It'll be like a SB online gallery....OH!!! That might be another cool idea....a SB gallery...hmmmmmm.......

If people were all normal, life would be boring.
One way or another, someone will always be left out. I know my style isn't very much appreciated by the majority on here so I know where I stand compared to others, but that's not going to stop me. The thing is, you can't please everyone.
If we want to keep this annonymous then the only way to do it is that we would post our pieces. PMs will be sent out and it will be up to the artist to decide who to trade it to. The pieces stay up and none of them get marked as "traded". This way, the only person who knows if the piece is gone is the person who made it, and the person it is traded to. An ending date should be established so no more pm's after.
Doing this the blind way is kinda fun, but it won't be if you get a piece that you're not feeling. Whatever way we decide, there will be pieces that no one wants. That's just the way life is.
