Going through my header box I was overwhelmed by the amount of bags I've kept with the headers... and I thought.... why? Why should I keep all these little plastic bags? What purpose do they serve now? Am I personally more excited when I buy a "used" toy and it has the little plastic bag? I don't think I care. What about you guys?
i have one usps box that i constantly stuff bag and headers in, headers are neatly placed at the bottom, and bags upon bags are on top... its a pain though if you decide to sell something
I put the headers inside their bags and bunch them all together by sculpt so I dont loose any or get too disorganized.
Yes.... it's funny because I keep ALL of them. But don't really mind if I buy something and doesn't have bag OR header.
I do keep everything but not having the header when I buy a toy kinda sucks since the art on them usualy kick ass.
If anyone answers "I hate headers" you can direct you p.m.'s to my inbox, and I'll send you my address.
I store all of my bags and headers. I started to put headers into photo albums, but really wish I had made notes on which header went to which toy.
I keep everything, but then my kids play with my bag of b/h and everything is all over the place. Might as well trash the bags. Signs of OCD, I suppose...
I keep the bag IF it comes with a header. If it's just a bag, meh, it gets lost usually. I like when toys just have bags. Headers are cool, but unless they're unique per release, I'm tired of them. Also I like there being no issue with "MIB" like that thin plastic, cardboard and some staples are REALLY keeping that toy safe. Enough to knock prices up. Makes no sense to me.
I keep most bags, but I don't care about them. I'm pretty picky though about headers, and if a toy doesn't come with the original header most of the time I'll pass it over. I hate dealing with and keeping headers, but it bugs me too much when a toy doesn't have the original art it was intended to come with. I'm with BD, i like toys that just come bagged. Alot of headers aren't worth keeping or worrying about, but I feel the toy is incomplete if they're missing. There are some with exceptional art, but they get tucked away in a drawer with all the rest anyway. And if it's a collab where the header art is a big deal and drives up price for design and production, it annoys me, I'd rather pay less and not have header art, because again I'll be like that's cool for a few minutes and then stuff it away.
Prior to this year..I used to keep both. But lately I've tossed out a bunch of old bags that have become wrinkled and almost brittle. I try to keep the header cards but really need a better system of filing. I think Mark puts them in a binder which end up looking pretty cool.
I keep the bag, I dont know why. I guess If I have to move the collection I will have a way to protect my toys
I store all my headers in a accordion folder, and I mark the companies that they're from on the top labels, for easy access.
I'm surprised the results are so one sided. I've decided to let go of the bags, they'll be on the bay BIN $2,200…. sounds fair
i put all of my headers in the bags they came with, and then fold them up. i threw ONE bag away, it was for the "giant" rainbow resculpts. the outer bag was as big as a garbage bag, super ridiculous. i have all of my headers mostly, lost one somewhere in spain, and have a few spares that dont match up and i cant read the kanji. oh well!
Despite keeping all my bags they're still pretty organized inside my S7 LB bag. But maybe that's because my collection is relatively small. Can't imagine how crazy your bag collection has become!
I usually only keep a few bags on hand for when I sell or trade an item. I don't really care about the bags unless they are printed on like the Biskup Pollard bags, or giant M1GO T-28. Headers are important to me, unless I have a bunch of the same toy and they all have the same header. I still keep them all though.
I've been wondering about this one myself since I busted open my 1st piece of Kaiju a few years back... now I am ALL about keeping the header but these bags just seem a waste of space but i was always curious how others felt. Now the real ? is what is the best method for removing the staples from said header so it doesn't get all jacked in the process.
i keep the bags and the headers unless the bags come without headers... i got into this because of pushead and i love his header art so i'm all about header cards! they are like fun trading cards to your toys!
Most toys have light weight staples you can just pry open with your fingers. Some like cure and zollmen use some heavy heavy staple. I have trouble getting them off and often just cut the bag rather than bothering.
Seriously once you open the bag, why do you give a shit about a cut/and or ripped bag? Keep the header and toss em... In fact lately if I get used Butanohana I know the header is going to be one of three usually and I tell people to keep it. I usually use a pocket knife and carefully slide it under the staple ends to bend them back, works like a charm!
