No clue - he's mid sized with no makers mark whatever. I found him in a junk shop in the eighties, if I had to guess he's from around then and of Chinese origin.
That's a bizarre MG?! ^ Here's more boots from my shelves (chunky thighs tiger seven cracks me up): More Bootlegs by Beautification Syndrome, on Flickr
What a cool find, she is a very different looking Ms. Ultra that is for sure. Someone really put some thought into the design of her. I wonder if that same body is available on any other characters from the same bootlegger? Really nice figure, a great addition to your already impressive collection.
I majority of my rainbowman are missing capes (all except larger bootleg removable mask). I'm just not lucky at finding caped heroes
I hear you on that Andy! I like your pic though, he's in great shape and the lighting is really nice against a dark background. My shots with these have been more utilitarian.
slightly off topic: you're totally right. ralph agrees; based on that toy, this is what he came up with after we originally had that discussion. jiving strut
Ha! I love it Excellent work Ralph. That is the Zarab I know and love, wouldn't mind at all having to suffer his occasional weekly antics!
^ it does come from a bagged set with dinos, but i wasn't able to determine its vintage-ness. thanks for confirming. that's a wonderful half-peguila/half-king ghidorah specimen!
Thanks. I think my shots tend to be pretty boring compared to a lot of what's out there. I usually try to capture images of figures and let them stand on their own, but sometimes it's also fun to be more creative when the time and the brain space are there. Scobot - That clear glitter RM is super rad.
Love your many many great bootleg variants Scott. One day I'll find those two clear bootleg Rainbowman variants. Here's some new boots I just recieved. Apparently my quest for all bootleg mini Rainbowman variants is a never ending one because this is a new one I've never seen. Pretty sure the Casshern is also a bootleg because it has no markings. Could not resist disco Iron King and his giant head. More boots by Beautification Syndrome, on Flickr
Strange, I have two very similar Casshern bootlegs, but it looks like they might have rejigged the arms on yours, as mine are suffering from the familiar extra-long plasti-arm syndrome. from previous photo and this guy
There are actually 2 different versions - see below. Mine has the card, so I shot that too so you could have more info on your toy. The back of the card is blank.
Ha, my thoughts exactly. No matter what bizarro toy you come up with someone on here knows its entire history. I kinda want one of these now..
