@quentor Paul Kaiju. Trade Bait Boss Carrion from Designer Con 2014.
Thank you for the info! She's purty
the trade bait boss. the boss i have had zero luck trying to get for trade or sale haha
LOL still the best run name for a toy ever!
You and me both... Lil' disappointed in this Boss for not living up to his tongue-in-cheek namesake
Boss had another great birthday, with all his friends, and all the gatcha he could eat. It was an incredible event, as I'm sure many of you can confirm.
Bigger pics on my flickr page. This guy is so amazing, I can't stop fondling him.
i went home and sipped on hot tea while i watched the rain hit my window for the entire night. it was dark... sad... it took hours of meditation and self reflecting to stop being butthurt over not being able to snag one of these beautiful bosses.
Seein' this Boss bein' a micro run, I could've gotten lightheaded. It's gorgeous as all get out as it is, but picking it up and seein' gachapon inside to live up to its name, my mind was blown. This is easily the best Boss I own, dethroning the Trade Bait Boss.
Waiter, there's a 'Bat in my Boss!
I think I have a new phone wallpaper
Thanks for the great pics and appreciation keeping the Boss alive.
I figured it would be best to transition to 2.0 with slight sculpt mods and production a bit more in my direct control.
Although the OG might show again later, it's a bittersweet thing but should make Boss more available in the future.
Things seem a bit delayed currently, but I'm hoping Boss 2.0 will premier at Dcon and be wider available before the end of the year.
And don't forget big Boss Charged! So the rest of the year should be pretty durn Bossy.
The first Boss has had a run and impact on the scene that very few have.
Wonderful toy and my second favorite of all time, next to that King Jinx.
Can't wait to see the craziness Boss 2.0 brings.
I have felt this pain but at the same time I read this and about died. I was super tempted to give it a plot and make it a kids story book.
Hey, thanks Kevin! That's super rad and flattering of you!!!
Paul, Boss Carrion simply feels timeless. In both the limited time I've been collecting, as well as my rather limited knowledge on the history of sofubi(and kaiju), I feel like there's an inherent vintage feel in the Boss sculpt that's expressed through your love and appreciation for vintage Japanese toys. I'll always be happy to see it make its appearances, but I'm pretty excited for 2.0, as well as wider availability! Onward to DCon!
Those Boss Carrions are a beauty. The blank almost looks like it could glow. Is it glow?
@chimply.kaiju It most certainly is!!!
IT GLOWS SO GOOD!!
Can anyone post a size comparision? The new boss is so good. Great first release.
Form what I heard it is the same size as the original Boss
When I get home, I can check ^_____^
@bryce_r It is just the slightest bit bigger than the OG Boss. Like, to the point that it annoys your eyes and you keep asking yourself, “Is it bigger, or not?! I can’t tell!” Just a hair taller, a little chubbier, hands and a feet a tiny bit bigger.
Edit: The more I play with it here, the more I really can’t actually tell if it’s bigger in all area, or not. Absolutely feels and looks like it, but it’s almost like an optical illusion. Head is definitely, definitely bigger.
it ain’t a fancy Schmancy photo, but hopefully it helps... 2.0 is looking fly!
Ever so slightly bigger I’d say... and this can be argumentative based on the actual pulls per say as each one has its own form that it locks in after it cools. Changes i see are in the toes, snout, tusk, biter fishy tail, eyebrows seem more formed, ears are more pointy, and his little fins on the back of his cankles are more defined. I’m sure there is more, this is just what i see... 2.0 is going to have an amazing run. He is pretty killer... that first paint app is an amazing one to start with!
Anyone know year / show (?) this PK Boss released? Can't seem to find any information ... Thanks.
