I'll bet adding a new figure to one of those shelves is a nightmare! LOL But, hey, it's a great problem to have.
Thanks Guys ! I will get some pics of some of my other cabinets - the robots ! Yeah I also have an obsession for 1/200 scale things : aircraft,submarines and ships. Why ? I really am not sure .. years ago I was in Japan and saw some small model aircraft that just had the most amazing detail by a company called Gulliver. They are very collectable
Scott I love how your shelves are color coded!!! I sort of want to do that also but I don't have the room
Killer sofubi collection Scott . . . just the kind of packed and varied shelves i love. A joy to peruse! Two Skull Stars though? that's just rubbing it in . . . . please consider selling one to me
Scott's photos without question are some of the best sources for great vintage toys. Not only is his collection stunning, but his dedication to cataloging them in detail is definitely welcomed by me; and his triptych series especially never cease to blow my mind. Thanks for all the continued great work! (from a very appreciative fan)
i'm in the same boat as ultrakaiju, rowing the other oar. following scobot's flickr in a sea of toys and making stars turn pink.
Finally got some decent light today so I took some photos of my setup. Had a little trouble with the glare. Im finally down to one detolf now.
Wow, that is really spectacular. I love how your collection encompasses some of everything. It is really nice to see all the different scales of figures lined up relative like that. I really like the sort miscellany way you have it set up. Funny I was just mentioning earlier today how much I prefer to have a old fashioned wood and glass display case, as opposed to the detolfs. Nothing against them, I just love the old shop aspect of it I think. Well that, and I love wood. Growing up in a house full of Scandinavian design and classic teak will do that to you.
Jonathan I was so impressed with these I had to zoom in with my iPad then go to the desk for big screen on the iMac to see if I missed anything! Super collection and great set up. I'd have to say obtaining all the Condorman figures and WITH capes no less- no easy task. I love how you have it broken down by show! Damn I need to just sell all my new toys and go full on vintage EDIT: Damn I did not know you had the Barom One bootleg I'm looking for (white head in front of Giant Cobraman & Chameleon)! I love that boot. His head is almost cat like. I was in a bidding war for a silver headed one a few weeks ago but it was so beat up I gave up, not worth it. Can we get a close up of him?
excellent collection Johnathon! If you are going to get some c/up's can I see the mini green winged beasty next to the blue redking boot.
Can we get a close up of ___________ please? (i.e. everything! ) Been staring at those pics, scanning them over and over to see what you were talking about Scott, {I don't see any winged beast, let alone a mini - what the heck is that guy talking about?}, but now it finally dawned on me which dude you mean. I can grab a higher res pic to zoom in on if you like, but here is the green pachi dude: He is kind of like a pachi version of a dino/Hydra hybrid.
Damn, Jonathan! You've been busy since I last saw your collection! That setup on the top of the wood cabinets is the stuff of dreams.
Hey thanks guys. I try to have everything organized by show or type of toy, but the top right is a little on the random side. Im running out of room and thats kind of the overflow section. Miles- yeah ive added a few things in the last year and a half . There are a few more on my flickr, I didnt want to be that guy that puts up 20 photos.
^^Ha! Same here! Uh...only Windows products. Anyway, very fucking cool collection setup, Jonathan. Very elegant...and like Steve said, the wood is really nice. Makes the whole collection feel more...inviting.
Wow! really cool. Giving me some ideas about how to arrange my collection. Gotta rearrange my shelves very quickly becoming a F'in mess! Photos to come.
Yes, Jonathan - you've been busy indeed adding to your collection since the last time I saw it. Truly spectacular! Glad to see you finally found the gloved Tiger 7 figure you were after. Hope you have been well.
you guys have fabulous collections! I've more cute things of course and some are mixed with modern figures;
