Re: Old Skool Zyurai Asu I also like the fade to clear but would like it more if it faded to the arms and head (or had some other fade effect) and wasn't just a fade from the top to the bottom of the figure.
Re: Old Skool Zyurai Asu Great Zyurai collection, Andy. Im really liking the painted orange and the painted brown. really would like to track some of these down, but like you said they rarely come up in auction or sale. Very Nice.
Re: Old Skool Zyurai Asu great work, andy. zyurai asu's are my favorite cronic sculpt. you have an impossibly cool collection! rainbow, taipei toy festival, fade to clear, lucky bag painted, and I'm done! OK...now to get started...
Re: Old Skool Zyurai Asu The figure makes really interesting use of a clear base figure, with some parts more opaque and others more transparent, in a fairly complex interaction. It's a symphony in design!
Re: Old Skool Zyurai Asu D'oh! I meant the Hobby Complex Zyurai The heat is really getting to me this week!
Re: Old Skool Zyurai Asu But it's an Old Skool Z thread. That would break the space/time continuum! I'm out the door again. I'll put up pics in a few hours.
Re: Old Skool Zyurai Asu like you said, this is a old school thread and majority of my zyurais are post '06 also, i still need to find that all black zyurai.
Re: Old Skool Zyurai Asu Post em if ya got em. I think you've got a few I've never seen before. Share and share alike - no excuses!
Re: Old Skool Zyurai Asu max, that clear amber pinstripe is so rad, i want to see some pics of it, out of the bag....
Re: Old Skool Zyurai Asu my collection is too insignificant to show but i have some contribution for sharing only cronic fans will hit this thread, so thought maybe more appropriate for the headsup then in the general Japan Toys section. New cronic coming. Details soon. Maybe someone can decode the code?
Re: Old Skool Zyurai Asu I think you've picked up some excellent pieces, but it's your decision to contribute or not. Wish you would. We could all benefit from seeing more pics of what's out there. Speaking of which.... Hobby Complex Zyurai: A few more early-ish figures:
Re: Old Skool Zyurai Asu My one and only Zyurai Asu, I like to keep him posed in a kind of Johnny Cash stance. I think he's one of the first pinstriped figures too. And the pinstriping on the back is just killer. Andy, thanks for sharing all of your pictures. I think full collection pics are in order some day when you have time. Just saying, we need our minds to be blown.
Re: Old Skool Zyurai Asu Andy, your pics are awesome...thanks for the killer thread! Keiboba, easily my favorite pinstripe Zyurai. The style of pinstriping on that one and the matching Maverasu is incredible... modern and vintage at the same time. Damn, I need to post some pics.
Re: Old Skool Zyurai Asu My favorites from the Old Skool... Maybe not that old, but easily some of the best...
Re: Old Skool Zyurai Asu These are all really fun to look at. the early pinstripe GID asu--was that sprayed on using a mask? the other pinstripes look like they were done with a fine brush--that's why I asked. either way, they're all great.
