Two shades of red for the hp Zyurais? Are these two different releases or the same? Fantastic set! I like the Nougaki twins and that Black Marble Mav...aw, man, too many to hunt.
The pink marble Zyurai is a one-off. I'm still looking for a few marble HPs. Tough to track down. I hope he does a marble Ankoron. That would rule.
One issue with marble paint style though---don't you have a hard time moving the arms? I suspect its because of the paint has dried up, I don't want to move it too much and destroy the vinyl.
Yeah the arms are stiff, probably because of the type of paint used. Best not to force them to move. The way I see it, these versions are meant to be handled with a bit more care than standard V-color painted figures, so I'm fine with them being less poseable. They're really tough to photograph because of the dark paint and subtle color designs. That's the case with a lot of Cronic figures, but especially these. I usually find the clear versions the easiest to shoot, indoors or outdoors. Recently I got the purple HP. Amazing figure in person, but so hard to tell from photos.
Its tough to actually distinguish the lines of the sculpt since they are blurred by swirled paint---challenging to photograph. Andy, any info how many marble hp were released all in all?
Yeah I guess that's part of it. It's definitely a heavier paint app than a standard V-color paint job. But the marbling effect also adds its own character. There are somewhere between 15-20 different marbled ("HP") figures. Most were made in runs of 5-10 figures each.
thanks. the matte pink/black on the left has the greatest paint app. the back of the fig has these incredible spots. the blue HP in the middle is another favorite.
