customs by me HHR (hip hop robot)

these are all customs i have painted recently and will be posting a ton more.


these are mainly spoken for, however a few are still availible either at different galleries or just at my tattoo shop gathering dust. so if interested in getting a vinyl painted up or just snatching a ready made please let me know.

i really enjoy making customs, my wife is an amazing sculptress. she's sculpted all my accessories and what nots.

this is only about 10% of what i'm about to list. these are the ones i have cropped and resized to show off the details. so hang tight i will have them all up very soon.



im new at this, and am completely self taught, the only education i have had as far as airbrushing, is what i have read here.


MVH, PK, gargamel gang, lamour, blobpus and skinner are just a few that i have looked up to, and have tremendously benifited from their contributions and will continue to support them as much as i can(yeah like they need more people bugging them)

so please be kind

v colors just showed up, thanks manuel/ iron horse(still waiting on that thinner though,but it came as fast as lightening, first box probably was in a time warp and the thinnner box is just catching up)


any thoughts, tips, suggestions inquires, and comments are welcome.

Is it just me? Or does that green Debris Japan have his penis hanging off one side of his eviscerated guts and his balls off the other?

 

Yes, a penis and a little balls are usually here or there. It is a reaccuring theme in my art work

um..... that mask.... is..... incredible. holy hell. what's it sculpted with? can i be the first to order one??

 

This is sculpee. My wife and I are currently doing 3 versions of masks for our favorite monsters. Making them hopefully, more nasty and gruesome(which in most cases just can't be done)
This is our first version.

Out of respect for MVH, I'd like to see how he feels I handle these releases. I have read many of his responses and hope he's just as supportive of of this as he has been with other bordies projects.

Even if this project goes down in flames, I'm sure we could make arrangemtents to sell the OG sculpts. Painted up with some v color

We have a rather large collection, but can only make masks for monsters we have. So I'm pretty stoked I have a new excuse to spend more money on here. Hell yes

if this is released, it will more than likely be soft vinyl.
Resin will probably be too heavy. And or too abrasive

Regardless, it will be well thought out, and not chew up all our loved vinyl.

Yep, Maren's awesome with the sculpting skills. All custom parts, al have been custom designed.

Neither of us have a higher education with this. We're both self taught.

I have to get my work station up in lamour's thread.

Our house is a mess!!!!! Been airbrushing using the stoves fan to exhaust fumes

I painted some fortune cats(forget maker, got from lulubell). She sculpted the tinest details for these.

I can't decide if I like the spider eyes or the veins and chewed up ears best. I think once this gets a paint job, the veins will really pop

 

the details are nuts... your wife has some sculpting skills...

i'd love me a mask or 2 for my Ollies for real!

we are thinking, if I can get enough balls to bother rich, and I go with a local resin company or possibly wood, maybe a few months. To possibly the Fall of this year. but that's a rough estimate and if I can build enough courage to actually bug rich.

 

if he sees this he might dig it...

and just learn to cast resin yourself!...

hoenstly if your girl can do some character design... i can see her pulling some resin herself, or maybe even think bigger and sofubi. this is a crazy ass nice sculpt.

She's a chemical engineer(enviromental engineering) so I'm sure we'll figure it out. With all the knowledge on here, I don't think we can go wrong( well we can, but not going to)

I need to take a minute to address this.

As much as I like your wife's sculpting, I prefer you NOT use my figure as a base for your selling orders.

I put a lot of time into my toy, as well as thousands of dollars. Having masks was not in my vision. And if I did decide on masks I would be the one to sculpt them.

I like the sculpt but this would not sit well with me having you sell a product that uses my toy as a base. I know you mean no disrespect, actually I know your intentions are only positive, but this to me is very disrespectful.

I don't look at my stuff as DIY KR figures and sculpting over what I put a LOT of time into and sell it as a product for it is not cool.

The projects I have with other board members has been in the works for a long time and they have been friends with me for years, some going as far back as 7. They all have waited a long time and all have run their idea by me first before they went ahead with anything.

I REALLY appreciate your work, but I would prefer you keep them for yourself and not use my hard work to sell a product.

I only hope you respect my wishes and NOT go ahead with this. I also hope you understand what Im saying.

It would be like me selling clothing designed to cover up all your tattoos , understand me ?

I wouldn't think you would do this to say NAGNAGNAG Paul Kaiju or Gargamel would you ?

We are all small indy toy makers and everything you see from us took a long time to make. Not to mention that its these figures that broke the barriers for others to be able to make factory connections. To take that away from us is only the beginning of the end.
