I see, thanks. Yeah, I wouldn't have expected him to be based on any character. Any idea what sort of age?

^^ Hard to guess on this type of vintage toy isn't it . . . . these are mostly from 1950's i would say.

Ha, that is such a great find! I love it. Japan is one place where Colonelworship is still going strong, happily. :) Something about that fella just still appeals to me too - even if the restaurant is not really what it used to be these days; I'll stick with my nostalgia. Some day I'll have to bring home one of those [near] life sized fellas for my own place. Congrats on a lovely bank!

I remember seeing a few like these below in Kyoto,
the Japanese love to dress him up it seems . . . .

Playmobile 'Florida Sun Trike' from 1995.
Snagged it for £2 unopened in the box at a boot-sale. I had fun putting it together.

I thought the proper silver-flake in the purple plastic was a nice touch for a toy like this

The guy's hat is what gives the whole toy a distinct Manson-era touch imo... Nicely done, Playmobil!

^^ Yep, that is so cute . . . the hat looks like its from a Japanese school-uniform to me,
so the backpack would suggest ducky is on its way to school. That would be my guess.

On the weird side of cute, but still cute, California Raisins from 1988.

^^ I've always liked that crazy looking toy!

Here's a Ledraplastic bootleg squeaker from the 60's.
    10" high.

The main difference is the bootleg has no stamp on the back and his eyes are blue.
The head sculpt has been simplified a bit.

Vintage Guinness (my favourite drink) Advertising Penguin.
He is missing the string and fob that he would of been pulled along with.
Pretty old, not sure of the date.

    £2 at a boot-sale.

^^ Yep, i was very happy to score him. I have a couple of these, you can pull them along using a string
or you can hang the fob over a table and gravity then pulls the toy along . . . .

They are usually 1950's but a guy at work reckons the Guinness one is from the 70's.
I'm not sure. They are pretty rare.

Here's one of my other ones:

Most of these squeakers are from boot-sales except two of 'em that were donated to the moog toy-hoarding project
    by MountainDewie :)

Made by Lone Star in England in the 1960's.
'Eaglet Series'. I have no idea how many more of this series there are . . . .
