I have no criticism for you collecting this toy. Amazing it came with the bag. Looks to be in fantastic condition.

BUT, I had a visceral, horrified reaction to this toy. I actually shivered more than once.

Why is the egg flesh and not shell colored?
    Why the ruby red lips?
WHY IS THE TONGUE STICKING OUT LIKE THAT?
Why does the feather on the hat seem to merge into the egg "flesh"?

The outfit seems to capture the essence of old fairy tale cartoons and children's book illustrations, but again, seems VERY CREEPY to dress up a flesh ball like that. WHY???

All good questions, i think its like those weird old Victorian Christmas cards ... humour and fantasy were originally a lot darker/violent/sexually suggestive, and the same went for Fairy Tales. He does seem to be intentionally creepy with the skin tone, red lips and pokey-out tongue!

Interesting to see the bag is made of 'Cascathene' which is a plastic i've never heard of. The only mention of it i can find on google is a blog-post a Humpty collector made which includes the same toy, also found MIB.

The bag is really awesome. I don't think I've seen a toy before with "hygienic" as a selling point. Lol

Yeah, some of the old headers I have say similar. These types of squeakers were originally for toddlers, I think they're just trying to appeal to parents. Nowadays these types of rubber squeakers are solely meant as dog toys. Lol.

This was 20 years ago, but when my daughter was a toddler, it seemed like squeakers were put in a lot of plush toys. I recall she had an octopus with chunky limbs where watch leg was a different note in the octave. I think I found that toy more amusing than she did.

The really unsettling part is how he keeps muttering:

    we are all one flesh,
    we are all one flesh,
    we are all one flesh,
    we are all one flesh,
    we are all one flesh...

Cool to see something early Palitoy. I'm only familiar with their 80's Action Force/GI Joe stuff and Star Wars.
