Mark's paints are so expert and beautiful. It's just a shame his artistry is wasted on this figure. Fans of his work should check out his Maxtoy webstore.

I thought you were joking about that price... boy, was I wrong. Two. Hundred. Dollars. Indeed.

 

and it doesn't even come with a tickling finger handshake !?!

 

You know what's funny about this is Mark's probably getting less than $100 a piece. After you pay for the piece of vinyl and putt a little on for your own time and double it to account for the gallery/retailer spilt it's super easy to get over $200. I'm actually surprised it's not more. In most cases I would have had to charge more.
I really like these too. Good for Mark!!!!

 

Mark charges like $150-200 for custom negoras which are his own toy, and not even half the size...so i dont see the issue?

 

My point exactly. In most cases when you do a run for a buddy you get very little, so it has to be a labor of love or a truncated version of what you'd usually do. Mark brought his "A" game to these. They will most likely sell out in a heart beat beet anyway.

 

Mark did a great job on these beets. Hopefully I'll get a chance to see one in person.

It's being sold at a gallery, some galleries take a 25%-50% cut of a sale. Maybe that has something to do with the higher price?

With people using the same spray patterns, one never knows who paints what. It's a guess game these days.


Andd those zombie veggies look like a clothing line rejected by mishka. Interesting idea, its just feels way to forced.

 

Hey Gatiio - here's a better pic (not an instagrammed shot of the Hyper Hobby spread). Can't really say that I see much of the other paint applications in my own paint, but opinions are allowed to vary.

Clear vinyl - neon and metallics and handpaint details. I like details - I try and make them stand out.

I usually can spot your paints a mile away, the cannibal fuckface for example, has those tones that I connect to your style. I just cant see that on this guy.

Neat, clean work, I just couldn't place it with some of your other works that have popped in my mind.

 

Got my 1st Deadbeet today. Can't wait for it to arrive!

Oh, wow. I'd love to see a close up of this figure when available, please kind person. And that header's great.

 

I'm a sucker for clear so this is up there as one of my favorite releases. This release is good for customizers too. 6 beets total.

 

Bummer though that anyone who wants one will have to go through flippers.

mutantshark brings up a good point. There's a good chance I'll have some left over. If so, those will go online next week.

 

There were some Anct Garden ones left over from the GR2 show. Haha never even heard of Comicpalooza till now, so good point.

 

The question is who won't be at Comicpalooza! I'll be there, and will do my best to take some close up pics of this sweet figure on Friday. Anyone else going?
