Been accumulating these little dudes for the past 15ish years whenever I come across them in Japan. Most of the painted ones were from Yoda’s shop before he got smart and priced them well out of my idea of affordable. Got lucky at Sufes this Spring and snagged a handful of the clears for a reasonable price at the end of the day!
Those are awesome, especially that clear yellow one in between the red and green plesiosaurs. I also have that red Stegosaurus, third from the right in your pic, thanks to the surprise bag of cake toppers from @Mark K P7150009 by Roger H., on Flickr
@JMRampage great herd there! Can you please post some pics of the little triceratops in the middle? Red with green metallic? An eye catcher!
Those are so nostalgic. I used to have a bunch of the ones above when I was a kid. I also remember a big Triceratops with a weird red head and a big orange, tiger-striped Styracosaurus. I always wondered why they all had that gaping mouth... maybe they were pulled as one piece and that was the opening?
That's a good question, you might be right. Another name I've seen for these older ones is 'Screamers'.
Yeah, the seam makes it look blow-mold but its standard pvc. It's an unusual one, the proportions are a bit chunkier and fun compared to a lot of chinasaurs. I hope to find more of this style.
