RedYoda and Joe, I enjoyed Star Trek quite a bit. Hubby is the true Trekkie, but I did enjoy the series. For non-trekkies, the movie was action packed to be sure, you won't be bored! Actors, plot, special effects were all good. For Trekkies, it was nice to see the characters "at the start", as cadets, and to see character developement and early interactions. I enjoyed the humor which kept it fun, and it also made me feel a bit old--all that action kept my mind reeling after seeing the movie. It made me think that producing films has come a LONG way from the early days. I wonder how long it took to make the movie with all the added special effects. It's now routine for actors to "act to the blind", that is carrying out their roles with their body areas marked up, so that special effects actions could be added in later. Made me think that movies have come a long way! The two "kaiju-like" monsters were fun too! Go, you'll definitely have a fun time
well look what the Mr Humphreys dragged in, hi Grace! You know my wife thought she saw you at super7 one day and I said nah I doubt it. Looks like it may have been you. Anyway, a late welcome to SB
Hi Joe, Thank you for the kind welcome ! Your wife has an excellent memory. I think you'll probably see more of me at S7 now, I am completely addicted to Kaiju, but I still LOVE the Uglydolls. Hope to see you at the S7 anniversary!
Did you get your burger? Is there by chance a Krispy Kreme donut shop next to In and Out? They always seem to be located next to each other. Sitting with a large bowl of orange sherbert and vanilla ice cream (coughing my head off--cold stuff sets off my asthma), and trying to read, while twirling the end of my robe sash to amuse the kittee ...and surfing for toys (even though I shouldn't!)
Good old double-double. Gone are the days when I would get 2 double-doubles and yes, there was a Krispy Kreme near by. I went to the one off Rengstorff. I just wish I didn't eat so late in the evening. I'm pretty bummed I missed Big Bang and How I Met. They're really the only 2 shows I try to catch...but then my buddy told me of this one show on MTV called Bully Beatdown or something like that...and it sounds awesome.
Good old fast food alley on Rengstorff (man that name looks odd when you write it out)- we live literally like 5 minutes away from that In and Out. L&L Drive-In is right around the corner as well (get your spam musubi there). I wish they would stream Big Bang... I'm pretty out of it as far as actual TV times go.
Fucking cough has been killing me. Started watching Dexter today. Interesting show. Saw an episode of Big Bang on the plane. Would like to check out more.
I'm so jealous....In N Out I could totally go for an animal style double double with animal fries as well...oh man I hate you Californians right now Big bang theory is my favorite show! How I met your mother has taken such a bad turn. They're all...douchey now. It doesn't make me laugh at all anymore. I picked up the Season 1 DVDs of Big bang and had a marathon about a week ago. Good stuff! (It helps that they all go to Comic Con and play Warcraft too doesn't it?)
Animal style double double? The Krispy Kreme next to my local In-N-Out closed and now there is a Cik-Fil-A in it's place.

Thanks for posting the "specials" Lalo, it's nice to get a refresher Gatchabert, after reading of your burger run last night, I'm going to go get a huge tomatoey pasta dish with lots of red meat and drippy cheese... A transformer blew out in our work-neighborhood this afternoon. We only had to work a half day, and they set us freeeeeeeeeee!
Mmm double-double grilled onions no tomato, animal style fries, neapolitan shake... snack of champions P.S. Lalo: Tommy's= I can't wait to go home and have some!
tell me about it! last 3 times i've gone back to visit my family, tommy's has been the first and last thing i do.
MMM haha loving that little booska does he have googly eyes or regular? Where's Kirkland? He should be all up in this he LOVES Tommy's.
I am not familiar with Tommy's. I need to investigate this a little more closely. The one great thing about CA, well Southern CA anyway, is that when we leave LA we can always hit the In N Out right next to the airport. For plane geeks, it's also a great spot to watch the giant 747's land from overseas. As for Chik Fil-a...no go for me. They use peanut oil to cook all of their food...too bad because I love fried chicken.
