Your set up is much much better. I especially like the Chaos shelf. However, I love the idea of your girlfriend being so angry with you that she would be able and will to sit down and calmly rearrange every single toy. We all know how labour intensive setting up a shelf can be, not to mention randomising your dvds. She sounds quite scary.
thanks backtrack...!!! she really is a sweet and beautiful girl.. she's just heart broken cause' I'm the one that did the breaking up.. she was a little drunk at the time and I think she thought it would probably make me a lot angrier than it actually did.. she just wanted something to throw back at me like.. "is that all you care about is your toys" if I threw a nasty fit about it.. so I did my best to bite my tongue instead of freaking out on her.. I knew I could re-arrange them later after all the dust had a chance to settle..
That's not too crazy, the kind of girls I date would probably have set them on fire had they had access to them! hahahaha. That set up looks so nice, the balzac and boogie/DBM shelf looks great, and those suckflys are making me green with envy. Some risers and that would be one of the best looking set ups ever. The variety in there is pretty mind blowing because each sculpt is so well focused on.
The Chaos really look fantastic together! I also love that lime green Zunougon. I hadn't seen that one before.
Yeah, alright, the organized shelves are definitely the way to go I can't get over how cool and varied the Chaos shelf is either... I'm very jealous.
so much better well worth the wait great collection and setup that is a lot of custom chaos who did the metalic green next to the zombie chaosman
thanks guys...!!! it's obviously taken me a quite while to finally put everything together.. there's a lot more toys in the old toy room that have no place or shelves to sit on just yet.. gotta save all my pennies for display case number two but it's gonna be a while before I can get there..
Well it could have been worse. She could have left you with empty shelves. Much neater and display looks great!
trust me Collin, my last girlfriend would have grabbed one of my original paintings and thrown it straight through the toy case and then have no problem with setting everything on fire.. opened the garge door and put my truck in reverse.. charge as many haute couture items as she possibly could to all my credit cards and pee in my candles..
okay, I'm deleting all the x-girl pix cuz they suck and it's just using up a lot of un-necessary bandwidth in my photobucket account...
ah, don't delete the ex-gf pics! the continuity will be ruined. its also a great before and after. the new shelves are awesome and envy-inspiring. woo shelf is rocking it
just gonna leave the main pic with all the shelves together in one shot.. need the photobucket space cuz I'm running out of room..
thanks justin...!!! stop by anytime... not sure if you'll be leaving with anything unless you wanna make a groovy trade... hmmmm, ponders other black toys..
That Ms. Mysterious looks a lot better creepin in the back of a crammed shelf. Cool blob too I never noticed it matches the madballs packaging.
Thanks. Yeah I thought it matched good. The mysterious, like i've said before, should have been made smaller... It's just too huge, but ahh it's still kinda cool...
brad- nice grouping of figures. the kaws bear, what's it called again? as to my shelf--there are seven custom paints on it. PK-doughboy and partyball. Gatchabert- Garamon and frankensnail. me- woo and gizmo. leecifer- wing'd rhino resin in lower left EFH, the woo I airbrushed almost two years ago. i've always been fond of it too, thanks for liking him. the sculpt really lends itself to color blending as the fur has so many angles and flows really nicely down the body. somebody bought his brother custom from the ICFSBII show, though that guy was winter fading to spring woo. the guy in my pic is just winter version. I also painted the Gizmo. the real ones look just like he does in the movies. gizmo, LJN toys LTD. Hong Kong, copyright 1984 Warner Bros. he's about 8 or 9 inches tall and really a great size. i feel like the smaller version by the same company (about 4 inches tall) was available in the US a lot more than the big guy. ebay is your friend in this regard, these big gizmos come up regularly. you shouldn't pay more than $40 for one with an average price being around $15-30. I have two of these guys now, though one is still painted as originally made. the doughboy does rule and is of course a Paul Kaiju paint. it's like three years since he painted it. so now its double-vintage, in another twenty years: antiques roadshow
