I must have missed this one on Saturday, so my many thanks for posting it here. That is a classic skit. I like the look on the face of the waiter when he kicks the tray out of his hands.

Awesome! That could be me. I just have to say after watching this that Fred Armison does not rock one bit.

 

funny...I always wonder what 20 year old me would do if he saw me now. Probably punch me in the face and smash up my car.

 

This must explain why he gets all the rock gags.

He acted quickly though when Dave Grohl's mic was off.
I bet someone got a new asshole torn for that one.

 

Haha, that was classic. The song was a perfect amalgamation of just about every early 80's punk song ever written, and made me feel like I'm 12 again. God I'm old.

 

His mic screwed up. Considering how often that happens in the real world at real gigs, that was a perfect flub if there ever were one.

Also, Fred Armisen got the gig at SNL after this video of him at SXSW 1998 got passed around. Basically Fred goes up to tons of indie/alt-rock figures and acts like a retard or a blind guy or a deaf guy or a foreigner or just an ass. He's great!

Oh, the guy is hilarious. I really like his incoherent improvisational comedian on Weekend Update. My real beef is that the show is lacking a good physical comedian and the Fred seems to get stuck doing all that stuff when he's really more cerebral.

 

Armisen has played for Les Savy Fav and also along with Tim Harrington on his Beardo show, which was funny. Not related but Tim had a surprising role in Superjail which I think is the absolute greatest. Funny how things connect. Anyways the best part about this skit was right afterwards when Sudeikis dropped the f bomb and quickly grabbed his mouth. I wonder how many people caught that.
