Well...I've definitely seen the sets broken up and flipped individually on Y!J...but you'll basically be paying close to the full retail price for just one dude. :/
Five Star Toy Kinnikuman Collab Color Spectrum ~ New post: http://nama-niku.blogspot.com/2012/05/f ... color.html
Haha, time difference man! It's 8 o'clock Monday morning of my last day. There's notice left I can do but talk about kinnikuman.
A mixed Ashuraman would be mind blowing. With the black blank coming out in a few days and more bound to be released soon, custom mix-ups are not too much of a stretch. I really wanted to do an exclusive colorway for my site, but getting them to agree to overseas licensing has not been easy. I was told that I had to wait at least until this winter after they "worked out a few details on their new series." Does that mean we are getting a new comic or cartoon over here.... not sure!? If I am able to work something like this out, what sculpt do you think most people would be interested in? As far as the Gold Robin Masks goes, 8-Style has a few extra Gold Meato-kuns up in their store, and should have Robin up soon: http://studio-8-style.com/shop/products ... uct_id=839 P.S. Congrats on the marriage in Tokyo! Was married there myself (many years ago ) ~ what a fantastic city.
Thanks Nama! Congrats to you too! I hope you get a chance to do an exclusive color in the future. I don't know which character i would go with. Obviously you know who my favorrite choice would be, I'd have to look at which characters have sculpts because I know I'm probably forgetting some. Id love to see fivestartoy do the fighter that was a giant hand!
Indeed! But if I had to build it myself I'd have to by too many Asuraman, I'll settle for a mix Robin
Wow, that's amazing Tyler! Well, I think it would be pretty incredible if they could do the Robin-armor Kinnikuman for you...then you'd be the *first* person to offer that sculpt/combo! A "normal" fully-painted anime/manga color scheme for him would be fine. I think this would be a good release for US fans because the wrestling ring was such a popular accessory. SneaGator (or "Sunigator" if you like...but he's the Sneaker-Alligator!). A big, beautiful sculpt of him would be killer!
Ha, that is indeed amazing! Congrats, love it!! Sofubi version a must, lots of fun with articulated arms!!
Haha....thanks for the shout-out, T! Heh...I sure WISH I could make a vinyl outta that dude...but I'm pretty sure the whole copyright infringement thing may be frowned upon at some level!

I just want a handful of these figures, but I'm afraid I'd go all in. Does anyone know if they'll be reintroducing sculpts when the market becomes completely open to the U.S.?
I don't think any of the sculpts are considered out of production... It seems like it's just a matter of what colorschemes they want to release, based on the original storylines. And the blanks, it seems like they are just doing what they like, and in the case of the new "Color Spectrum" releases, I would guess the individual shops get to decide which characters they are selling in "their" color. But I doubt any of the preexisting releases will be duplicated... That would leave a sour taste in the mouths of the collectors who got them initially. I'd love to see all the sculpts get re-released in Flesh vinyl again, just for conceptional symmetry to my MUSCLE figures... but it probably won't happen.
Yeah, it's weird that he always seemed an iconic character in MUSCLE, but was kind of a throw away character in Kinnikuman. There are so many little guy I'd love to see Fivestar do.
I agree, well said. So true. Sneagator in his "claw" form went out like a punk in the comic/cartoon. As a MUSCLE however, the sculpt really stood out with Western kids because it was so different and inventive.
