Fortune Kid Monk?

Anyone see this yet?

This little guy is AWESOME.

Also, check out the the white to pink fade on the mini cat in the background - adorable!

 

LOL... I thought it was just the head from the Fortune Kid on an unrelated monk figure, but looking at it closer, it looks like it has paws for feet. I'd totally love one of those, and the white to pink fade mini-cats look nice. As do the white and red Fortune Kids.

 

That's pretty cool.

 

I'm glad to see that the cats are getting some attention... I'm not sure how well the Fortune Kids are selling, but I really like 'em a lot.

Oh, and thanks for the link to the blog... I'd never seen that one before and it's got some nice stuff.

 

The blog calls it the "Fortune God." Sort of looks like a souvenir that would be sold in one of the stores in Asakusa.

 

This one is really nice. Let's hope Super 7 will have this soon.

You're right about the chess reference. Also reminds me of other classic 'boardgame' figures. I think this sculpt can appeal to a lot of different folks.

I would buy this if it wasn't on a stand and head can rotate.

 

I think I like this enough to buy just one. It'd be cool if it was made of resin.

 

I see what you're saying but I feel the exact opposite way. I like the statuesque aspect. I love the religious angle too. In Neko we trust.
