That's fucking awful and a huge FU to the insurance carrier trying to dodge a preventative measure. So what they'll pay for measures/procedures if it gets bad but not helpful longevity enhancing short term measures? Fucking insurance companies completely ruin all medical help in this country and should fucking be banned. All insurance should be banned in general- biggest scam going.

 

Medical care in America is run by corporations. Corporations behave like sociopaths. Not a good combination.

I know it's been said already but Photobucket can get fucked. The more I look around and see how much is gone the more frustrated I get.

 

I still have to [hopefully] download all of my images from my account so I can cancel it. The only thing that super sucks, is, I don't want to start flooding the living hell out of topics with new photo posts of old shots. I started doin' that in the American Idols threads and felt like a dick. Just knowing how many images across the entire internet are broken is ridiculous.

 

I don't use Photobucket so I don't truly understand the issue. Is it not the case that you can just make an adjustment and everything re-appears? The sad part is having to use a 3rd party to do all of this. The reason I post more on IG than here is because I hate using those third parties and it's just easier to post there. I wish that wasn't the case. I'm not a big tech guy so I don't really understand all the logistics. I just wish there was a way to post the photos on here without having to use another service.

 

@Brooklyn_Vinyl Basically, Photobucket was a free service for third party hosting. They released new terms of service, quietly, and essentially without any warning, cut off third party hot links and sharing. The only way to deactivate this is to either pay $40 a month, or $400 a year. And unless you do this, you cannot share you photos anywhere, in anyway, through their service, and some have even reported not being able to export their images from their accounts. Many are calling this Photobucket blackmailing its customers: "Pay is $40 or $400, or you don't get your photos back."

 

Holy shitballs, that's absolutely terrible @xSuicide Squadx. I sure hope that doesn't become a trend with other services.

 

Absolutely ridiculous about photobucket. Reading that irritates even though I never used it.

 

I don't think that I'll even log in to PB again. All I've got there now is a few bad product shots from sales and a couple of recent low-res things. Although I might just change all my personal settings and stats so that they can data mine poop. Bah.

 

It's also one thing to put those rules into place for all future usage, but to implement it on every photo posted before now is asinine with two "S"s. Every photo I've Ever posted around online that required a hosting site is now no good. That really sucks. Photobucket was once one of the key hosting sites, meaning that's one hell of a lot of lost information out there... It may just piss enough people off that they'll at least fix all of the image links prior to this change. I think this whole strategy is going to backfire tho.

 

Fuck my hi-def NOAA radar app! Should have known when there wasn't a update for years and suddenly one appeared that it would fuck it up. Shit like storm direction/strength tracking arrows, lightning flashes, etc etc all gone in favor of a monthly subscription for only a small percentage of those. WTF it was a paid app? I wish I never clicked update and left it alone because I'd still have all those features.

- Lower Back (Heard a pop and now I am in pain)
- Postal Service (Lost a package of seals for the internals on my mountain bike fork, sent to a company to match them. Fork is trash now)
- Toyota Prius (Has 8000k miles and is broken)
- Cancer (Lost my wifes biological mom)
- Ants (they think they own this piece of shit rental)

That is a really shitty move by them, i doubt it will help them in the long run. Surely it will piss off more users than not. Since Flickr started advertising its all gone wrong . . .

I hope Imgur doesn't do the same thing or the Japanese advert thread I started is fucked. Its over 5,000 images.

At least I backed it all up recently, including all my photos on Flickr. Made me feel better getting that done.

 

You'd better get your back looked at if that shit is happening.
