Well looks like I missed the toilet theme a few days back but a gigantic colon-exploding Fuck You goes to my niece who somehow takes these huge pancake shaped dumps and somehow doesn't need to wipe because she just leaves the bowl full of these weird inhumanly shaped turds with a diameter that has to be seen to be believed!

Also Fuck You to people who assume the intellectual high road when presented with a concept that clearly flies over their heads. If you can't comprehend what someone is saying then that doesn't mean that you have a higher IQ than the person presenting the idea. I've seen it happen to other people and myself recently, and it's insanely frustrating to see how some people's ego assumes dominance as a defense mechanism. Is there a known term for this?

Fuck You to Australian retailers who have settled on $3.50 for a single pack of USA Extra gum.

And a huge Fuck You to the rampant nepotism at my work.. it's basically impossible to bring up any legitimate issue with anybody at this stage without offending somebody's family member/best friend.

Also it's almost been a year and I've tried to be fair and rewatch it a couple of times but Fuck You times a thousand to Rian Johnson and The Last Jedi. And Fuck You to the people who automatically assume that I must have cyber-bullied the actress who played Rose because I disliked the movie.

Ive also heard it called bitchsplaining. Especially at Disneyland.

 

@debparis @IronPaw haha good ole' mansplaining - I think the concept I'm struggling with is kind of like the inverse of that. It's really hard to articulate the idea for me because it's pretty abstract. I guess where mansplaining is somebody who assumes the people they are talking to is already not comprehending what they are saying and feels the need to break things down into simple steps without the other person asking them to, this whole phenomenon is similar but it's where the person presenting the concept doesn't assume the "receiver" is dumb, however the receiver dismisses the concept without trying to comprehend it or can't comprehend it and as a result assumes the presenter is incorrect. Like they are not able to weigh up different ideas so anything foreign is immediately classified as flawed.

I guess some examples would be flat earthers believing they are right even when presented with scientific evidence - it's like a stubborn ignorance. However, most of these people who can't grasp new ideas/different arguments are also unaware that they can't process these things so I guess being stubborn is not relevant. Whatever it is, it has been bugging the shit out of me lately.. now more than ever with the rise of "fake news" which I'm sure is tied to this culture of dumbing shit down and even twisting the narrative if it's too difficult.

Anyway after all of that, Fuck You to people who wear flip flops! I don't want to see or hear your fucking hobbit-ass feet

 

Willful ignorance? I know numerous people who suffer from this.

I didn’t assume Deb’s gender, when I corrected them, so... NO. I don’t feel as tho I mansplained mansplanation.

 

I feel you.

I suffered my first anxiety attack a few weeks ago, it was horrifying. I thought I was suffocating and/or having a heart attack, I almost called 911 in the middle of the night. The next morning, I got in to see my doctor and he put me on an anti-anxiety medication as well as antidepressants. I’ve never had any issues like that in the past. I’m thinking it was caused due to the massive life change we just had, we had a baby six weeks ago.

Then 2 days ago, I lost my job. My partner isn’t working because of the baby. Fuck. Another anxiety attack. At least this time I was somewhat prepared for it. So now I’ve got the added stress of finding a new job/career as well as taking care of our 6 week old.

Even though all of this is happening, I feel like there’s hope. I feel like everything is going to be ok instead of the usual feeling of impending doom. With that being said, I feel like the antidepressants are starting to work. The fact that I feel so hopeful is the exact opposite of how I would normally feel. There is still a long road ahead with my treatment. I am going to start therapy as well, as soon as I find a new job and have health insurance again which should help even more. I’m glad that I finally started to be proactive with my mental health. Just knowing that I’m addressing these issues makes me feel better about myself.
