I'm not sure that list is always accurate. I think it was the same last year too, with some stores not being listed that in fact were selling them, and I think one that was listed that didn't end up selling any. My memory could be wrong though.
I contacted MPH about the bags and just got a reply ... they said MPH won't get any this year... ( they didn't put order for them in time ) ... Hopefully next year ...
After looking back, I'm wrong. looks like TAG isn't on their either Since DDR is sold out, looks like there's only 3 distributors left in the US
Has there ever been another shop release in the US? I remember Super7 use to have them in store and people would trade and share, make an evening out of it. That stopped before I ever had a chance to drive up.
Contents quoted directly from Gargamel at time of posting. If they've changed, we have not been told. Bags are now enroute from Japan to all the retailers. Was told there was a major back up at the factories. Not surprising. Also, keeping in mind that the Garg guys do hand pack all of these bags themselves every year... Gargamel = Reliable. Honest. Fair. Ethical. Original. Creative. True passion in what they do.
I’m excited for the bags! I’m hoping to see some new things in them. If I get something standard size that also glows I’ll probaly lose my mind.
I'm just cool with whatever pops up. I got 2 bags last year from 2 different dealers. Got some really nice stuff from them I keep forgetting to post about lol. Nothing was the same so they all stayed with me.
Great to see them finally getting dropped. The wait is almost unbearable the last two months before drop. Now it’s preordered from Mintyfresh and I can just sit back and relax. I got my bag secured... (With VAT and all)
They lingered for a bit but gone soon after. Sucks MPH did not get their order in time. With Roto selling out I think S7 is left? This is my favorite time of the year. Like Second Christmas!
And that's precisely why I keep buying a bag each year. For the price of one "debut figure" from some artist that popped on IG out of nowhere, has zero guarantee of quality because it's produced by some random factory, and likely involves some kind of convoluted lotto process, I can get a whole bag of awesome toys. Aesthetically, all of Gargamel's toys "play nice" on the shelf, their paint jobs are always eye-pleasing, and there's nice attention to detail... or oftentimes a good balance of detail and simplicity. I don't think I can ever have enough Gargamel toys. Just good stuff all around. I am in the same boat... but painted glow for me, hahaha. Judging from my luck these past years' bags, I'll likely end up being able to work out a trade if there are any that I don't end up receiving myself. I think that's part of the joy of these bags... if there's anything you don't want to end up keeping, you can usually find someone who has something to swap it with.
Well said! Two standards gargamel and still cheaper than some rookie makers. I hope Japan sales will not be too tough to get! As usual, I hope for black figures. After the black Bako last year, black garudan would be great!
Thrashout Garudan would be absolutely amazing!!! I'm really hoping to see the new mecha-arms included on any mechas, and maybe a mecha-Deathra head... But I'm open to pretty much anything! I sure do hope we see one-offs and/or small numbered runs included again. Variety is the spice of life afterall, but seeing that they haven't had those for a few years now, I'm not expecting it.
Every bag I’ve gotten has been a joy and always highly anticipated after the new year. I’ve never gotten anything super super rare but never have been disappointed. That being said.... yes! Mecha arms (on anything) or a Mecha Miborah/Deathra Head would be so Sick! But a custom standard would make my head explode!
