...man, i copped one... Well HAVE copped one in theory. Here's to a successful campaign!

    ^^^^
...yeah, it's a damn cool looking fig i think as well, AND the 1st run of the vinyl is going to be GID which is that extra bit of nice.

Think the interest will build as word gets out. Tim does not seem to be promoting it much aside from through his Instagram. Hopefully that changes...

I meant between my comment and the comment below mine. There seemed to be some disparity.

I don't know, as a newcomer, I've observed some of the denizens of this board take pride in being snark-masters. I wouldn't let it get to ya. I may even have a bent toward snark myself.

It reminds me of the aliens in "Falling Skies" The sculpt is very clean, almost too clean. Was this sculpted from clay or wax, computer generated (3D printer)?

    I guess sarcasm is dead.

As far as the toy goes I feel the sculpt is very nice(In particular I like the legs). Unfortunately the overall proportions just don't appeal to me.

Re: Grim Creeper Vinyl - Ultimate Skull and Cobra/Tim Stephs

I'm only saying this because you seem to be looking for input. I try to stay positive and out of the bullshit but in a passion driven hobby like this, people are going to be invested in their opinions. This toy isn't bad but it doesn't hit the mark either. Honestly it seems like someone is trying to market to the types of collectors we have on this board but are themselves an outsider looking in. Like they thought this would be cool and appeal to us but don't really know what gets us salivating. That may be completely wrong and this could just be something the creators thought was awesome. Nothing wrong with that of course but as with all artistic/design related endeavors, the response from collectors is what it is. I have things in my head that seem amazing but if I put them into vinyl, will others be on board? Who knows. Such is the risk of something like toy making. It is for this reason many makers start small, working with resin. As they build interest in their work, they take steps to push further. Jumping in feet first with a vinyl toy is risky to say the least. This toy may have a market but I think many SB'ers may echo that it is nicely done but not their thing.

I like the "wrist" articulation" and the bottom mouth thing is a nice surprise but not really the surface that looks like the palm of a hand or wrinkly skin + spikes that are very mechanical/inorganic vs. the ones on say, Rangeas

Man this site is crazy. You guys are infamous for how elitist you can all be but this is blowing my mind. Thanks for the little lesson in toymaking but maybe you should research who your talking to before you give advice. Im new to this site because I had been warned to avoid it by people i admire in this scene. I have been making toys for a couple years. I work primarily in resin. My latest being the 9" tall 8 point articulated Devastator. Which has been regarded as one of the craziest resin pieces out. Im not an outsider looking in and this project wasn't marketed to anyone specifically. Im not making any money off this. Do the math on the presale this is for the love of it. I make toys that I think are rad. I think the Grim creeper is rad. I don't see what's not to like about it. I'm ok with constructive criticism but you guys are just being snarky assholes.

Furthermore Im certain that you didnt even check out the campaign before giving your "advice" The Grim Creeper started as a resin piece two years ago and after selling out 120 full size and 60 mini creepers I started working with Scott wetterschneider perfecting the design digitally. I took every small step your "supposed" to take on the journey to making vinyl. I spent two years working on this character..
