I haven't been this excited about receiving a new toy in a while (well maybe like two weeks. ) Can not wait to bring home some mixed-parts Monsters to join them.
Really awesome toy! I regret not getting one, but i'm hoping there will be some at SDCC. And as for that MONSTER mixed parts toy... looks amazing! I see that I could pre-order online but I'm reading that they'll also be at SDCC, so I'll hold out until I see one in person.
Gawd, where have I been?! These are great! Just put through my order. Hope I made it. Thought the colors were great. Shows-off the sculpt really well. The sculpt itself is superb, has a yokai seijin vibe to it. The head sculpts are crazy. My fav is the one that looks like Sesame St Count von Count.
^^^ Couldn't agree more. One thing I really like about this toy or this line of toys is that they are really accessible. It's fun to pick up something you really like at retail.(A lot of times it's hard to unless you are quick or have the right connections.) Anyway..it sounds like Luke and Ricky are having a lot of fun and thanks to both for making a fun toy.
Put my order in yesterday, cant wait to get my hands on it! ...and I just ordered the penagallan and jeffrey from them too
I like the wolfman head most. But there's not a bad one. So it's a vampire, wolfman, mummy, frankensteins monster then the other 2 are tougher calls. Zombie and some sort of rock-frankenstein/gollum type thing?
I just put my order in and I'm already thinking about getting 2 more to have more parts to swap around and make the perfect ones. This idea fuckin rules.
I think Luke now lives and I know works in Japan. Excited for these guys too, can't wait for some painted parts.
These two are the result of me digging through all the parts for an hour: Leaf Vampire and Pickle-Body Frankenstein.
The more I stare at these, the harder I fall. I think they are all great, but I have to agree with BD on the Wolfman head sculpt taking the cake. So charming for such DIY/rough sculpts. I wish there was a Creature head/arms thrown into the mix somewhere
I feel like a total dullard.... What am I not seeing? This looks like 3 toys I have and one I want... It's cool, but I don't get the fresh summer breeze feeling that I did from say a ball of nag.
I think these are super fun. Unlike Nags, these are "just toys". There's no pretension, there's no artificial "rarity" controlled through small runs, in short - there's no BS. This is so much more refreshing than anything I've seen in a looooong time. Toys made to be bought as toys - not $100 "pieces". I also like that the sculpts are recognizable characters, but have a style unto themselves, making them quite original. And for the most part the sculpts have a lot of charm - though I'm not too fond of the body that has the shoulder joints really low on the torso. And after seeing other peoples photos of the first two GS figures I'm really liking those guys too. I'll have to pick a couple of those up at some point. Thank you Lulubell, for bring fun and inexpensive toys to market!
i caved and bought some to mix and match. really like how the brown and green parts match up to each other. really excited to get them in hand and start playing with them
