Were there any bootlegs of this out there? Trying to be cautious about something.

    Thanks

    This sculpt, right?

There are definitely boots of that figure floating around. (not saying the one in the picture is a boot, though)

These used to come up on eBay pretty frequently. I remember I bought one that looked like GID but ended up just being a kind of milky color. Would have been cool if I hadn't paid so much cash for it.

I think it was ArinC. that did a big comparison on the real ones and the boots. Maybe he can remember under what thread he put it.

Yeah there's an amazing comparison someone had out there, some of the details I remember are the feet, the boot didn't stand so well, and the real ones are stamped on the feet. Also the hands are different, (more open?) On the boots. That's all I can remember though best bet is if you can get a shot of the underside of the feet.

I seem to remember the bootlegs coming with a scythe too, and the OGs didn't.

Yeah I posted a big thread on that, but it might have only been on the old horrorwood forums. I'll see if I can find it anywhere else.
I still have the comparison pics too, so if all else fails I can report those here.

    Ok Here are some comparisons.
It is pretty easy to tell by a picture if it is a real one or not, at least with this version of the bootlegs, not sure if there are "better" ones out there or not.
And yes, these did come with scythes.

The original official red 67 mission release comes w a scythe so that's not a dead giveaway unless its a black one w a scythe, as I don't think those came with them ever. The originals also came in a box.

From what I can tell in those pics, a good indicator would be the distance of the elbows from the hips, since you won't have a scale comparison, and won't likeley get shots of the underside of the feet. Plus you don't always see em w the bags but thatd be the answer if they did I guess.

If it's bagged with a header it's real. The tan bag is another reason to believe it's real. These ones didn't come with a scythe.

My bad, gregs right it was the other heads that came with a scythe. That's definitly the real header, but iv also seen some funky ones on yja recently that I assumed were fakes, I think they were black with a white pattern print header. anyone know ab them? I'm w greg on the GID, if that actually glows its pretty cool that its got the bones printed! If I'd ever seen one I'd have nabbed it.
