you can always take it apart, they invented blow driers for a reason. :3
You damn cutter.
100 for minis, shirts were 40.
「Gorilla ju vs Bruiser Z」Battle set
I choose from those who came to the exhibition.
I will mail from you.
I just love how Hirota sells his products.
lol at the "pick me pick me" posts on instagram for the battle set
I think the original has more character. the new one is too realistic.
I hate to do that…
I really like the new omake! It gave me an engineer vibe but everyone I ask doesn’t see it.
Totally looks like one of the Engineers from Prometheus. I see it (only because I'm now on instagram and can access pics of these things lol)
Well that's about a 400% jump in retail
Can someone explain the value? 80000 yen, wtf!!!
Perhaps because mad toys is involved and is getting their cut too?
lol it's being reposted all over IG. Not a secret whatsoever
Pick me pick me
OUCH.. too rich for my blood.
Fortunately there's fuck-all else worth buying these days!
True that! Got to love the ig hype mongers too.
said no one.
I'd be willing to forego the shirt and pay the full value of the toy. That should be about 10000 yen, right?
Yes, I am just bitching. But seriously, even if I had bank I would see the insult as a collector.
I mistook the 8 for a 3 .
30000 yen was a bit pricey , but 80000 .
In the past , Hirota always seemed to want to stop flippers , overpricing , etc.
Hope the 80000 price is not the new "normal" for HxS toys ...
I hope it is. Why not get paid? Look at the first page of mandarake selection of 4 of hirota's toys.
17, 000 = 4 toys
Honda Fit baseline model
16,100= 1 car
mandarake is making a killing
I get what you're saying, that he should be getting paid not Mandarake, and I can agree to an extent but as someone who has admired his work from afar without the funds or luck to ever obtain any of his figures i really really hope it isn't going to be the new norm.
I've been wondering if it was done in an effort to deter flippers, but it's also deterring me from wanting to support HxS.
doubtful that its a deterrent to flippers.
flippers have that long money... money for days or a credit card that pays.
What's that old saying... "If ya can't beat 'em, join 'em"? The big player flippers are going to eat this shit up... they buy LV and Supreme at ridiculous prices so this is nothing to them. Hirota even just posted there were many applicants for an $800 toy.
I'm sure this is a direct result of meeting "fans" (hypebeasts, cashed up visitors) at the exhibit last year.. Hirota saw there's an opportunity during this current phase and is striking while the iron is hot. Why not, I hold his toys in the same regard as NNN, the quality and charm is there. He deserves it, all power to him... unfortunately though I have no hope financially of picking up my first HxS piece in the future unless a Medicom deal is struck after the hype dies down in a few years.
Looking down the long road this could work out well for all of us... hypothetically, some newer fake-ass makers have been following suit with what the big boys have been doing. Generally their pricing is around $200-$300 USD already, which is already too high for a ripped off sculpt in cheap shitty vinyl. If these newjaccks start thinking well I'm just as good as HxS/Nag I'll raise my price to $700-$800 USD then their sales will evaporate eventually and they will go make a streetwear brand or something. I hate to use a bipcoin phrase, but the sofubi scene will eventually "correct itself".
With the new wave of 國王陰莖 Instagram 'buyers' openly offering up $2,000 - $5,000 for old releases via Instaspam . . . they've successfully fucked up the market for all!
