Agreed. I watched the pilot and was hooked. That's rare. I love the balance it has. It's never over the top (or at least not yet.)
It gets over the top, but in a good way ? The situations that pop up and how they deal always keep you in the edge. I never buy series but made the exception with BB. And yeah chris looks like its back on in July, can't wait
July 17th, to be exact. Since the last season aired in march and finished in june, it already feels like a hell of a long wait. Information is already trickling out.
We've been organizing weekly group viewing of BB in the office, every Monday at lunch: it's probably the best show to watch with a group of friends (and a great way to kick off the week) so I can't wait for the new season to premiere!
I started watching BB a few weeks ago through Netflix and only have 2 more episodes left of season 2. I can't believe it took me so long to begin the show as it is seriously one of the best shows on television. Maybe of all time. Its that good. I love all the characters and the way the story unfolds is teriffic. Brian Cranston in so good its scary. I don't want to go through the rest of this thread since there could be some spoilers I don't want to read yet but does anyone get a total Dexter feel with this show? I mean, its better than Dexter but there are many similarites and I always think about Dexter when watching BB. For those of you who have not seen this show, get on board now!
I was way late to the BB party as well. A couple months ago I power-watched all of the series and got caught up. Awesome show! Really looking forward to more but I know that getting only one episode a week is gonna drive me nuts. I feel like I'm way behind when it comes to TV shows. Just got through all three seasons of SOA as well. Pretty good. Still gotta make time to watch The Wire - another one I've never seen but everybody says is amazing.
The wire is indeed the ultimate show. Breaking bad is just the drug making - the wire takes it everywhere else.
You betta, you might consider it hands down the best show out there. I do, imo nothing has been the same when it comes to TV shows after The Wire.
I think The Wire also had the best, purest, and most honest ending of any series ever on tv. HBO had an amazing run there for a while. Deadwood, Rome, Wire, Oz, Carnival. Hoping that they get back on the ball beginning with Game of Thrones and that this opens up more dark fantasy on tv.
came to this thread to complain about breaking bad but only cause they film it here in Albuquerque. Sometimes it makes me late to doing stuff and that bums me out lol
Breaking Bad Marathon begins tonight and runs till the premiere on July 17! http://nymag.com/daily/entertainment/20 ... _to_c.html Catch Up!!!
Loved this series!! I watched all 3 seasons non stop. Great storyline, great characters, great crystals!
I have two more episodes in Season 3 and it's interesting seeing the evolution of Skylar. I can't wait for Season 4. The teaser poster looks like Jesse has a bald head. Out of left field but maybe they will both use the pseudonym "Heisenberg".
I think last night set thf tone for the entire season. Looks like it's gonna get pretty brutal this season. Why do think Gus did what he did ? I have a few theories
1. gus needed to make a point 2. that dude failed to protect Gayle 3. witnesses saw his face at the crime scene ding! ding! http://www.amctv.com/breaking-bad/video ... box-cutter
Whoeehoeee, I have been waiting for this. I will probably save up some episodes to do some serious damage^^
Really great first episode... and yeah, there's really only one reason Gus did what he did...though the way he did it allowed him to really screw with Walt, Jesse...and (a little bit it seems) Mike. Mike is by far my favorite character on the show...looking forward to the rest of this season! (I had to watch that Gus scene standing up...you knew he wouldn't kill Walt or Jesse, but the show never holds back on samething batshit crazy happening.)
this show... sure missed this stuff. mike rarely ever looks scared, but seeing his boss wordlessly suit up and kill his #3 was surely intended for him as much as walt/jesse. the ads have all said it. walt's going full on antagonist this season and it's gonna be dark as shit. nice how there's still some humor in there, like walt's post-cooking clothes.
I wanna read this thread, but I haven't watched the premiere yet. I really love Breaking Bad and have watched every episode from the beginning. Sometimes, I really want to slap or yell at some of the characters, but I always come back wanting more.
This is all fine and it was a great episode, but I just couldn't work under those conditions if I was Walter. I think another sit down is in order.
Looks like it's going to be a great season. I think you will definitely see a switch in power this year though. They'll stretch Gus torturing Walter & Jesse as long as they can, meanwhile side story of Hank overcoming his rehab and jumping back in the case via what we saw at the end of the 1st episode. Overall it ends with Walter assuming power and Gus going bye bye in the finale.
