Hi I'm David. Lifelong fan of 80s gross out stuff and monsters of most any size or shape. Been lurking in the shadows reading through countless pages of kaiju history and knowledge on this board and finally figured I'd say hello. I know some of you already from the Instagram (@bleachbreach) soo..yup.. Hello.

    What's up everyone

My name is June I've been collecting toys since I was a kid, But got into the designer toy scene around 2007 thanks to kidrobot of course . I recently purchased a house so was forced to sell off some of my collection, mostly vintage & foreign Star Wars . But started getting back into the flow of toys again. I am a vintage Japanese Keshi Addict! Keshi in general lol, that's my main focus and also mini Figs like MIMP, GPK just to name a few. I'm also into bootlegs and resin but just a lil 8) I've always been into kaiju movies, that genre is my fav. Also anime. So I recently started buying Sofubi, and now I'm addicted lol. I will start a post and show some of the things I have in my collection. I can't wait to check out all the info in this forum and increase my knowledge on Sofubi, and of course make some friends as I go along. Anyways enough ranting :dam: happy to be a part of this forum.
    Peace out
    June

Salutations, humans! I am Andy. Longtime lurker of SB but just recently grew a pair to sign up. I think my love for sofubi stems from the Monster Kolor paint sesh I attended...oh...3 or 4 years ago, I think. Got to paint up a Tripus which was such a great experience. After that I started casting resin bootleg figures and getting involved with gallery shows and yadda yadda... If you're keen on learning about that, just go here: http://doomkick.com/indie-spotlight-feast/

Since then I've been doing all kinds of things. My fingers have been in so many theoretical pies it's absurd. Training in pro-wrestling, running a skateboard biz, printing my own shirts, getting involved with the 501st Legion and currently following up on obtaining a CDL-B so I can really start getting some solid income to back all of my hobbies...

As of now I'm bringing a new toy to life via my new endeavour, Yuck! Toy Co. which can be found on Instagram @yucktoyco . I currently have a 4" digital sculpt being printed locally, so that I can send it off to be produced in vinyl! Also working on a potential keshi line called "N.A.T.I.V.E.S." they're cannibal keshi based off of one of my old shirt designs from years ago and thought they'd make good capsule toys.

Anyways....holy guacamole, did I type all that? Sheesh. Anyways....Hello!

    Hi everyone!

Okay, maybe mildly confusing, I'm introducing two people. I'm Bryn, and I'm one-half of King Hideous Toys. The other half is my younger brother, Colm. This account is for our more "official business" stuff. We're working on making our own separate accounts, so that we can comment and share about our own collections, though for the time being this is the one we have to work with. There is a thread in the American Idols section that has more information about who we are and what our toys are about, if you'd like to know!

Trying to keep this quick and dirty. We've been long time collectors of toys, generally the grosser and weirder the better! We've always found more enjoyment in the bad guys, villains, monsters and mutants than we did the good guys and hero's. To this day, horror movies, crusty grindcore and filthy comic books are a constant source of entertainment.

Sofubi, and vinyl toys, have been on our duo-radars for years, though it wasn't until the last couple that things got more serious. I, Bryn, had a pretty intense staring match with a trio of MVH/Blobpus Enma a couple of years ago while visiting Den Den Town in Osaka. We've lurked Skullbrain since then, and finally jumped in. Our shelves are crowded with MVH, Restore, RxH, GEEK!, Skinner and other fun stuff. Sometimes getting Sofubi is difficult, what with being in the heartland of Canada. Thanks everyone!

Welcome again, guys! Hope you enjoy your stay on the board, there is lots to dig in to here. So what part of the prairies? To be fair, getting toys anywhere in Canada (and in fact, most places in the world outside of Japan, and some of the US) is difficult*. Great that you had that chance encounter in Den-Den town. When I was there last, AstroZombies was the main place for 'non-traditional' toys, but even then it was a little unusual to see.

    * made that much more so now, with this CP strike

Hey hey! Been a long time lurker here but finally decided to join in the fun since I've been heavily getting into sofubi at the expense of my other collections. Big realxhead fan but yeah, I know these things are ridiculously hard to get outside Japan.

Oh and I've been trying to get into sofubi making recently but it's really tough to get a foot in without being able to speak japanese and some of the regular English speaking studios are really back logged! Would definitely appreciate any leads or help I can get! Well, there's no turning back now!

@ultrakaiju Thanks so much for the warm welcome! We're situated on Edmonton Alberta. The mecca of culture and art that is it (my sarcasm runs deep), it's pretty good to us. Great music scene, really strong and devoted people! Hahaha, yes, the CP strike definitely isn't helping the toy collecting. I'm so glad that my MVH marbled B&W sludge demon showed up before everything went to hell for the postal service. Astrozombies is great! All of Den Den Town was really fun, it's a must whenever I (Bryn) get over to Japan. Trip 3, coming in October! What part of Canada are you in?

Welcome Shaun! Great to have you, I can certainly appreciate a fellow Ultra-aficionado, and fellow fan of M1-Go and Bullmark. You're sure to find a lot of interesting things to enjoy here on the board, with dedicated discussion and appreciation threads to those toys, and many others besides. Dive right, take a look around, and welcome to our little huddle of toy nerddom. It's a wealth of information and good people here on the 'brain.

    Hey guys!

Okay, real quick. I'm Bryn, one half of King Hideous Toys! We've got a thread over in American Idols. I'm a crusty 30-year old dude from central Canada. I've always collected toys, specifically monsters. In my adult collecting life, I had been gathering a good amount of 3A WWR robot stuff, and now have been an avid Sofubi collector for just about the last three years. I've mainly got MVH, though Skinner, RxH and a little bit of GEEK! has snuck in! Thanks everyone, I'm looking forward to getting into stuff here on Skullbrain.

    Aloha all-
I'm Doug, a 50 year old San Francisco native who caught the bug when my father came back from a trip to Japan in 1973 with a Bullmark Takkong vinyl for me. In the 70's I grew up watching GoRanger, Ultraman, Raiden, Gattiger, etc and kept up with a lot of anime through the 80s. I lost interest in a lot of the old toys in the 90s but have slowly been getting back into it. I've come to the point of where I'm trying to get more vinyls to start practicing airbrushing on. I was just in Japan and I wish I remembered about this board to ask where I could actively look for some while I was there. Hope to ask many questions here and share! Thanks for having me!

Edit: sheesh I joined 3 years ago and forgot all about it
