….so…to be honest.....I kind of feel unwelcome here I have been here since February of 2006, and I have purposely attempted to post as little as possible, so I don’t annoy any of you folk . I remind you, that this board has only been here since October of 2005 ……….I tried to sell one single item on this board, and yet for some strange reason, I was instantly persecuted. The item I tried to sell was a GID Steven the Bat that I purchased in July of 2005. I was instantly accused of being an ‘instant flipper,’ even though I purchased the item over a year ago. Two people PM’d me, lecturing me that I should not have purchased this item if I did not like doodled-on items. I do not understand why some of you sent me insulting PM’s. The fact of the matter, is that I was not instantly flipping this item, because I purchased it in July in 2005, which is before many of you owned a single SB figure. I had my own reasons for wanting to sell it … if I am one of the people you want to leave, PLEASE let me know
i think alot of the KR converts occur when people from here go to the other board to post pics of their kaiju, SB etc. and to post threads about S7 releases (and drop the occasional RFSO). you cant complain about how this board is less than fresh when skull-brainers knowingly/unknowingly entice people to come here.
don't know if anyone else got that, but thats some funny shit. btw, where's my advil?? it's starting to feel lika a John Hughes film in here
At least these guys had the guts to approach you directly instead of complaining about you to Ramos behind your back btw, how much you want for the GID bat? I'm willing to pay you a bazillion dollars!
Sorry, don't do John Hughes films (more of a Takashi Miike guy). And now that you know that, you know it's best to fill me in
I just had to know so I hit IMDb. Ohhhh, BTTF. (It's been a looong time since I've seen that one. ) Actually, I'm closer in personality to Dr. Emmett Brown. And of his films, I prefer Death Becomes Her. Verry twisted.
I remember that. I couldn't understand it. Your sale gave people a chance to buy a really beautiful piece that anyone would be lucky to own. Your reasons for selling it are your own. I don't know why people feel the need to police other people's sales threads.
I say just cut the heavy handed car salesman shit and the relentless begging. Fuck the self bumping and one person conversations. Also if you run into a lot of assholes on the board, step back and look in the mirror, because it's probably you.
I think it is working both ways. A lot of the old members seem to have some colletors fatigue right now. Since SDCC I think we have all been streched to keep up. Gargamel has stepped up their game and SB released somtheing like $700 worth of toys at SDCC. Between those two companies alone we have all had to make hard choices in our collecting. Add a kick ass exclusive mini release and the 1st damaged brain to show up at retail since 90% of us have started collecting and you end up with a grumpy internet.
If you guys are referring to me (and I'm not sure you are), so I'll give you the benefit of the doubt, Why not complain (again) to Ramos and have him put some suggestions around the BST like: "Although this says post up your "Wishlists", DON'T because some of the boardmembers think it comes off like relentless begging in a heavy handed car salesman kind of way". Will that work?
i love takashi miike but have a crap video store and don't do netflix (YET) has anything really good been released on video lately?? and oh yeah, "back to the future" was the first video john and i ever had on VHS!! think we've seen it a zillion times
I don't have any issues with people posting what they want, but for a little while, I was getting concerned because people were continuously bumping the threads up like 3 times a day... that got a bit irksome, but it seems to have quieted down a bit.
LOL. ok, ok. Sorry. I'm not saying it was you or LocoMoto that complained to Ramos about me. I just wish whoever it was had approached me directly and said: hey dude...the way you're acting is pissing people off.
Also the immediate gratification thing where people needed to find something today (or build a collection in a week) instead of exercising patience and hunting for stuff on their own was tiresome. I think some people stopped viewing BST cause of all the noise and hyperactivity.
