proto proto not for sale self of RxH (this was a common thing in Japan. rxH not for sale) unpainted not for sale anyone have $4500? how about $5000
this is the stuff I could not buy. the rxh and the RM I would have thrown down big time for but I was told that would be rude. So they are still in Japan.
So was all of this stuff mainly in shops and owned by the shop owners themselves? Did you also get to check out different locations as well such as studios, factories etc?
I say DVD! DVD! Hardcore Toy Collectors Gone Wild In Japan! XXX Not for minors or the faint of wallet.
Wow! Thanks Pogue! "Not for Sale" wow! the flatwoods seem to have a mothman, were those candy prizes? Very cool!
thanks for posting your photos man. i love living vicariously through you folks! That damudoran proto is the shit! Why do they have these not for sale displays? are they part of the owner's collection? inquiring mind wants to know.
i would sell one of my nuts for that frankenruge if i thought i could get enough for it..... great photos, looking forward to part 2.
Japan stinks, right guys?? i mean, i don't want any of their TOYS, right??? i KNOW u all feel the same way. all in all, i think we should all start collecting vintage cabbage patch dolls eh? or how about some weeble wobble type sheeat?
this is the one toy i would spend crazy money for. I'd really like to know more about it. i am thinking of doing a large painting of it. does anyone know its name in Japanese?
I believe it's Belzor by Marmit. Usually under 5000 yen. http://page2.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/b69257057
awesome! thanks for the info!!!!!!!! I had thought it was only available as a super expensive vintge.
just curious... why would it be rude? is it because he didn't really want to sell it, so it's rude to insist you want to buy it by offering him a ton of money... or because you are a foreigner who would be removing it from japan?
I think it's just a matter of respecting the owner's request that if he says it's not for sale, that you not be crass and approach it with the attitude of "everyone's got a price"...
You gotta remember things arent the same in Japan as here-different customs/lifestyles and heritages makes for different ways of doing things-Best thing is to be respectful when your a guest in someone elses home land.
