Okay, I am posting this in the vintage section for lack of a better place, but we can also use this as a checklist for original issue talkers, as the masses prefer. I would just like to get together a list of the general talkers from tokusatsu shows. Okay, to be clear, I am generally talking about the large scale (~15") talkers originally made by Masudaya for the most part, but I'll list what I can. The re-issues are fairly cheap and relatively easy to find, the vintage, well, not so much  I'll put down what I know here to start out, and we can add more names, pics, info, etc. as it comes in. If anyone has specific stuff to add, that'd be great, like quirks of the voices, details on the figures, stories, anything.

    Recent reissued (circa 1998):
    Mirrorman

    Potential talkers:
(i.e. I have seen large versions of these guys that could have been talkers)
    Kamen Rider X (below)
    Kamen Rider Amazon v6 (below)

After starting this I realise now it is turning in to mainly a vintage list, but anyways there ya go. Hopefully some of the vintage kings on here can shed some more light on many of these guys. I would love to compile whatever information we can.

Good timing on this thread. I saved a ton of photos from the recent talker sales. I also have scans of S7 issue 9 but wasnt sure if I should post them in case someone wants to buy the actual mag. Thanks for posting this Steve

Thanks for the additions. Decided to add a few pics now after all, sorry it makes the post huge, but still haven't found a way to resize them, and I don't like 'stealing' other peoples images for editing myself. Keep 'em coming.

Most vintage talkers are Masudaya, some are Ozen, Nakajima, Popy, Ansonii, Victora, Takara, Yonezawa, etc.
The Mach Baron you have pictured is not the Talker, but a missile fire.
For Kikaida and both Rainbowmen, there are Hawaii variations with no holes in the back and they came without talk boxes inside.

There is also a reissue Inazuman and the Gokinozaurus Roach Kaiju from Spectreman.
The reissue of Getta Robo has a different paint color on the chest.
The reissue talkers have green talk boxes, the original boxes are flesh.
The reissue talkers are all about 3/4" smaller than the originals.
Some of the reissue boxes do not match the original boxes. (Kikaida, Getta Robo, etc.)

The Super7 issue has the entire list of both new and reissue talkers of everything except some of the more existential animation like Pinnochio, Billy the Dolphin, etc.

Brian you are a wealth of knowledge!
    Awesome list but...

    Number 2 is Gantsu Sensei.
Not to be all nerdy, but asking for a teacher Gantsu may or may not help you on your quest...
There were multiple "teacher" characters on Robocon is my reason for pointing it out.

i know some folks don't like the proportions on this version of getter robo, but i think it's just right:

the heroic posture fits nicely, too.
