repro bat in the back! a couple of them are missing boots and belts- but oh well. these guys are amazing.
You've been busy michael! Love the simplicity of these sculpts. Flying Squirrel is still my fave, but that's a great mix of monsters.
had time to bust out the good camera i just won a bunch of minis as well- but probably wont have those in hand for a while. sorry if youre getting tired of looking at my same toys!
thanks guys! heres a quick shot of something that showed up in the mail today- really fun little to ( 3 and 3/4 inch little) i especially love the box too
Great snag, I wish I had had the money when this guy popped up for sale. Love those Popy box packages like the old Star Wars guys. Is the construction very similar, or is it a more rigid plastic? I'd love to see the rear of the package if it features other figures.
vintage vinyl- youre right! deadbone- the packaging sealed the deal for me and ultrakaiju! the back is the same- but here is a quick shot of the insert. they originally came with menko sized stickers- but mine were gone heres a little more info on the line from collectiondx: Popy’s World Hero (ポピー ワールド ヒーロー) line is a line of 3 ¾” action figures released in 1980. The line started as a way to distribute Kenner’s Star Wars action figures in Japan. The first 15 figures were boxed Star Wars figures from the Empire Strikes Back era. The line proved so successful that Popy continued the formula with its own Japanese properties – namely Ultraman, Denjiman, and Kamen Rider. Along with the figures, Popy released 3 carrying cases, similar to the Darth Vader carrying case by Kenner.
Has anyone seen the new Medicom soft vinyl Kamen Rider kaijin figures they've been putting out this year? I think they are about 9 inches tall. Anyone got any photos or links to photos of these toys? Or know how many different figures have been released so far?
They have been putting these out on a pretty regular basis for just about a year or two now. The figures are awesome, but I don't have any myself. You can grab them on Mandarake somewhat often though, but not so cheap, mainly becuase they are Medicom exclusives.
What other ones have been released? Are they new sculpts or from old molds like the Tiger Mask/ Devilman/ etc?
I think the first one was Dokugander the blue moth guy. They are all new sculpts. You can see them all here. Arranged from newest to oldest. I really like some of these its just the price that keeps me on the fence. Looks like they have made ten different sculpts so far in this style.
here's just the villains: http://www.medicomtoy.co.jp/prod/3/26/1/ btw the Kikaida villains are equally awesome
They definitely look like omakes, just don't know if they are cereal premiums or what! Can't seem to find the auction anymore, probably ended already.
I have got one of those guys too. I doubt they were omakes though, likely some type of gashapon prize maybe, or packaged in small baggies like similar Tiger Mask guys I have seen.
