i think maybe no worries on this issue. and maybe available in good numbers soon too? i am all ready for a black ver whenever that happens
im digging this. i really like the Jiminey Cricket with his hands over the eyes. super fresh! def agree with max, and all black version would be the jump off.
after they fxxked up sculpt of both hasheeme and jpp, be@rbricks being milked to death, 4-foot dissecteds and sorayamas still waiting to be picked up in toyshops, latest wonderwall collab getting more hate than love and over 700 kaws toys listed on ebay and hipsters only enjoy lining up for bape clothes rather than original fake clothes, time to come up with something charming like this. nice. monotone grey would look awesome next to this colorful one and with an omake - who could complain??? its obvious kaws reads skullbrain! ...another homage???
This might be the first Kaws toy I've really been excited about! I love the details. The hair, the geometric legs, the size of that liar's nose!
The show was great, seeing those 4ft companions was sweet! here's the video I shot at the show for those who couldn't make it out to ct http://www.vimeo.com/12907203
that video was awesome! thanks for doing that, it was nice to see the show and get that 360 degree feel, since i would not of been able to attend at all, it was great to watch this... thanks again!
Good News....Now I have a better chance of scoring one since it is slated to go into production.....slim chance but still a chance
Kaws and many others are better off that Paul McCarthy (the artist who made this balloon) doesn't make toys. If he decided to, he would blow everyone out of the water. What I would trade for some McCarthy vinyl toys... that said, I think the "kinocchio" (?) looks amazing.
I think this looks great, but i'm getting tired of KAWS just doing versions of already existing characters. There are so many cool guys if his that he could turn into toys.
Like what? I'm trying to think of a KAWS "original" and the closest thing I can think of would be the sperm...and that's been made already.
Now that you mention it a couple more come to mind: Blitz Cat (?) bank All of which were stellar releases. I'm on the fence with this Pinochio/Jiminy set. It really is the best thing he's done in years. But...I dunno. The Chums and Companions seem more "abstract" and "iconic" - this doesn't have that feel. But if given the opportunity I'll probably attempt to purchase - especially if done with a black and grey scale, as I love triptychs.
The exhibition looks nice... I'm going down to NYC in a few weeks, and it's only about an hour out of the way - would you say it's worth the detour?
Never seen that one before. Pretty cool, what is it? I'm guessing since I've never seen it, it's probably worth a small fortune.
