If all mine weren't in storage I would post a collection pic. I have quite a few. Always looking for me.

How many "standard" releases are there anyway? Mostly what I see these days are all the one-offs. And as cool as some of them are, I wouldn't even know where to begin to try and collect all of the regular issues out there.

That's a good question. I have no idea how many there were.

There were a lot of customs and one-offs. Killer J would release a series of blind-bag one-offs all painted by him. There was also a large blind-bag custom series by other artists. I ended up with one painted by LASH from that series. As far as runs I don't recall there being that many but can't remember the order.

Here's a few I have/had over the lifespan of Sarumon...

Yeah, three from Grumble, at least one from Mandarake and the initial standard release with Rumble Monsters. At least I think the RM edition is the first non-HP release. If I can muster the time I will try and snag some photo's somewhere and maybe start a visual checklist.

Hopefully we can inspire J to get back on the horse here

You guys should just email J and ask him direct. He was very easy to talk to and responds well to requests.

I emailed him a month or two ago and all he said was " I don't make toy anymore, sorry".

So no one gives a shit about Sarumon these days, but here are pics of my new 1-off (also from 2011 lucky bags) that is forcing the first out of the collection:

LOL. Blast from the past! Good looking toy.

You know I still have my GID version (regular release). I think I tried selling it (to make room) but had no takers at $40, so I said fuck it and kept it. I'm actually glad I did, because it still has appeal and is different from the other glow toys I have.

Yeah, that is a really nice one off. Congrats on a great buy there Yuck. :) Strange to bring this thread back to life, but I am happy you did. And such a nice glow paint application too.

So, have you got enough GID toys now to light up your entire house? :D

Lixx - Honestly the regular GID release is really well done I think, I think it just wasn't rare or hard to get enough for people to get hyped about, especially after the Sarumon bubble burst.

Gaz - Yeah I really like the patchwork contrasting primary colors. A lot of the Sarumon paint apps were a bit too busy for me, but this one is the exact right amount of busy to make the sculpt pop.

Ultrakaiju - Well my bedroom, where a good 85% of the collection rests has a solid wall more of less full of GID, definitely provides some light. My shelves are crazy tightly packed though, if I had more shelves and spread out some I could definitely get an okay 360 degree thing going on I think, but that is for someday when I have a dedicated collection room. I do have some giants and random stuff scattered about the house, not to mention the sad sacks that are boxed up in the garage. Regardless, I still have to use lamps at night, so not planning on stopping my GID quest until I get to that point. Maybe then I can save enough on electricity to make this money sink of a hobby lucrative? ;)

Still have mine also, really no clue why these died such a horrible death. Great toy and the 1 offs were so good.

Maybe it's because the line really came out to strong to fast, or really never went any where.
    To bad really.
