So rad... Jinx is one toy that works so well in vinyl form. I can't wait to see what crazy paint apps this will bring. I'm just in awe of the subtle details and love the details on teeth.

I'm not sure how that would even work...that being said let's like jinx bask in the glory. Such an unexpected release.It's going to be massive and so rad. I can see this toy displayed in the front before the bosses/joes/bats.

 

I'm referring to the resin mockbats that had jinx arms.

 

this toy has some serious playability. and it would be rad to have a bunch of micros displayed on the stone spiral head.

Very glad Ricky went with his intuition and requested me to redesign the claw.
I was sicker than a dog when I re-sculpted that thing but it was well worth the pain.
It's incredibly solid and fun to play with. I pick it up at least once a day.

Hoping to have some painted up for Stranger Factory in August, then possibly orders after that.

 

so did the claw not open and close before? or did you just re-engineer the way it worked?

Such an awesome sculpt! I know its cutting it close to SDCC so we probably won't see it released there, but I'd still like to see this proto version there just to check out the sculpt in person.

 

Yes it did.
But the way it would have plugged in, it would have probably lost friction over time and become floppy, also the issue of the cut would have been ugly.

Kaji Blobpus also reaffirmed this and helped me redesign it during his visit.
I basically drew a line around the joint where my thumb meets my hand and there it was.

 

Great story of teamwork. Sounds like quite an engineering feat...the bar has been raised! I'm really loving this figure.

 

Great Toy! Would be loads of fun at the beach - set up to look like he's attacking the hordes of sunbathers

 

Hah, then get him all scratched, ask me to fix him up for his trip to "The Bay".

 

Thanks for the other pic, Paul. I'm really liking it sad to see the articulation go, but it makes a lot of sense.

Now I just need to wait till August.

Ah, I see. I misread that, thinking that you re-sculpted it to make the articulated claw into a solid piece. My bad.

 

No, no - just sell it blank in the first place!

But seriously thought - I'd fix it myself Either that, or I could call it 'weathered' and it would sell for even more! 当たりだ！

All joking aside - gimme!
