August 2013 brings a new group exhibit to Stranger Factory featuring the incredible monsters of Paul Kaiju, James Groman, Josh Herbolsheimer, Stan Manoukian, Joe Merril, Goccodo, and Mutant Vinyl Hardcore. LOST WORLDS showcases the incredible creatures of a variety of top monster makers in the pop surrealist, kaiju, and art toy fields. From the gleeful carousing of French artist Stan Manoukian's alien creatures to the unsettling realism of Ohio artist James Groman's sculpts, the roster for LOST WORLDS promises to provide creatures for all tastes.
Monday’s announcement of “Lost Worlds” let the world know that masters of kaiju are coming to Albuquerque, and one of those masters is the man himself, Paul Kaiju. Above we have what might be a Boss Carrion from PK, but something is looking a tad different. We know the paint application is signature Paul Kaiju with the palette and technique being dead on as always! But…what exactly is the head here? In the upcoming weeks, we will bring you all kinds of teasers and work in progress images from the amazing talent we have in store for the show – stay tuned! Lost Worlds opens August 7 at Stranger Factory featuring the incredible monsters of Paul Kaiju, James Groman, Josh Herbolsheimer, Stan Manoukian, Joe Merril, Goccodo, and Mutant Vinyl Hardcore. We’ll also be announcing a mini painting workshop by Paul Kaiju shortly(Sunday afternoon, if you’re planning your trip…)!

brbrbrbr, those CP bodies look kinda off with the heads, but boy is that paint app just spot on! And Im assuming the boss has the head of that body. Lucky y'all going to that, I can only wait for a show up here on the east side. The sculpting clinic is the best part of it all. I bet is going to be so much fun. Steam rolling this year, Mr. Paul Kaiju! Awesome.

Awesome show Mikee! thanks for all your kindness. Many good pieces left, so be alert for online sale guys!
Well worth the trip out to Stranger Factory, a major thank you to Mikee for showing some extreme hospitality and putting on one of the best shows Ive seen. From the choice of artists to the presentation of the show, everything was spot on. It was more than obvious that every artist put everything they had into this show. Congratulations to everyone, and like Dago said, keep your eyes open, lots of amazing pieces left over. Heres a small preview of what the show had to offer.
Wow man great pics, this show does indeed look bonkers! Love the set up on old boxes too, makes it look more like an installation than just toys on shelves
