maybe I don't understand MMA the way I thought I did. Well, I'm sure I do, but the judges have been known to SUCK at times.

How the FUCK could the one judge score the Aldo fight 50 - 43????? That would mean he won the last round. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?????

And really what two rounds did the two judges give to Shields? I must have missed them also and I have it taped and watched it multiple times looking for them?????

UFC 129 had some awesome fights and some boring fights.

GSP vs Shields was lame. Jake has zero stand up and couldn't get GSP to the ground to try out his jiu-jitsu.

couture vs machida was awesome. karate kid style kick to knock out the old man was amazing. felt bad for capt. america cause he's a stud.

Aldo vs Hominick was a good fight. I thought that dude's head was going to burst open.

Diaz vs McDonald was a great fight not because of the actual fighting, but because someone shut Diaz down.

Aldo got friggin' lucky to make it out of that fight, and Hominick is simply a machine. I mean, I wanted the guy to win, but c'mon, stop the fight already; the guy's head is about to explode. This is sure to warrant a re-match.

As for the title fight, I know people will talk crap about GSP, and I fully admit the fight might not have been that exciting, but the fact is, this guy is essentially (thus far) unbeatable. I think he felt bad for not giving the crowd a sweet knockout (especially after that Koscheck fight in his hometown) but if he was really half-blinded I can't blame him at all for keeping the stand-up. He knows he can win it like that, and in the end, that's what counts. Even as it was he still went after him and was dominant in the striking. Shields and his one or two moves are overrated; without a take-down he couldn't do much as well all saw.

I'm pretty sure I'm in the minority here, but I actually like those Sacramento boys! He did get his ass slammed though!

Oh and what about Shields doing his Diaz imitation by throwing his hands up in the air to get GSP to bring the fight to him. LAME!!

I like the Diaz brothers too. The older one is a bit of a dick but I like to watch them fight.

Was the Diaz/McDonald fight in the prelims on Spike?

Yes, and it blew!! Well for Diaz pretty much anyway! He couldn't do crap, but McDonald looked pretty solid.

I couldn't agree more. Seeing Nate dropped on his head had me out of my seat and cheering.

I also liked the flying triangle choke that won the fight for the tall skinny dude in one of the other prelims. Dude was getting the hell kicked out of his stick-figure-legs and then he pulled that crazy shit.

Ballzy performance from Hominick. But he should have tried harder to pass Aldo's guard at the end of the fight. He might have won had he been able to gain a more dominant position.

Judging by the post fight interview with Rogan, it didn't sound like GSP was too into moving up in weight class to fight Silva. So unless Silva is going drop down in weight or they work out some kind of catch-weight match...

Isnt it only like a 15 pound swing? I think dana white will somehow make this happen. He knows itll be easy money and a huge payday in terms of ppv sales

you have to figure most of these guys are cutting 10 - 20 pounds to fight at the weight they do, so this could be like a 35 - 40 pound weight difference at fight time.

I mean the 15 pounds in that gsp fights at 170 and doesn't silva fight at 185? I am not sure that it would be rough for gsp to maybe cut no weight at all and fight at what he walks around at. Could be a disadvantage where silva could be training normally.

It was a great atmosphere in Toronto, especially near the Rogers centre. Jake was a total disappointment, I mean what was he waiting for? He spent the first 3 rounds looking like he didn't belong in the same ring. I bet he's kicking himself for not being more aggressive after hearing about GSP was fighting him with one eye.

I thought the card was great and being there would have been amazing I am sure, when GSP said he couldn't see I thought it would be over

One thought though is a corner man should have a phone on them with someone telling them what has been said in the one min rest? Would really give an advantage as sheilds did say at the end of the second, shall I take it diwn? And he was advised not to

Might have been the third he said it but if that info went back to the opposite corner it would have been interesting to see what would happen although it could be a bad way of cheating, either way great event

I wanted to watch last night but I couldn't justify the full PPV price for that card.

UFC should charge less for these B List fight cards.
