I had both of those and sold them. What was I thinking? This picture sparked my desire to hunt the blue guy again.

He was hard for me to get for some reason; when he first came out he was high by the then current standards. Oddly, the price didn't go up on him as much as it has on many other butas. So, good luck, I'm sure that he's out there for you!

Well, it's still a very modest collection compared to you folks, but it has grown this year. Here is a quick inventory shot with the few doubles near each other for clarity:

Looks like the rebuild is going quite well, Stephven! You've got me by a few littles and one lovely biggun.

Thanks all. Grace; I don't dare let the griffin or the caveman micros out of my sight as there certainly aren't a lot of second chances out there these days. David; thanks and I never expected to get "the lovely biggun". Some nice 'brainer made it fall out of the sky into my lap!

    Nice adoption Steve! Congrats! :D
Ok, inquiring minds wanna know, are you going to remove the bag or leave them in their protective cocoon? Still battling with that question, when I finally get around to displaying the goodies!

p.s. I love their chocolate noses! My pandababs are taking the slow route across the pond! You must nab the Indigo Blue Magura, very pretty! The little dino too (quite elusive!)

Grace, I actually re-watched that episode on youtube the other day. Almost bawled when ultraman brought the baby back to life.Debating myself on the bag issue. Am approaching a display crisis (again) and must rummage through brain a bit... I remember just wanting to rebuild and expand only dinos and apes. Well, sailed right past that one. But the Blue Magura would be lovely, I admit. I will keep bagged things bagged until I've worked it all out I guess.

Ha! Did you really think you'd stop after rebuilding the dinos and apes?
Yep, de-cocooning is definitely a mental and physical challenge.
BTW, it's a great episode!

I am moody and often guilty of lying to myself. I make draconian pronouncements in front of the mirror. Then I go browse YJA.

Speaking of JYA, a lovely set of MIB cave people popped up, and went for a pretty penny too! (no, not me! :))

    mildly NSFW!

    The new dino is perfect.
And he looks like the adopted child of Pandora.
Glad you opened them. Always free those babes!

Agreed, new dino is great...and excited to see a new dino in the Buta stable.
Overall this has not been my favorite colorway for the Pandora set or the dino, but it's growing on me. Definitely better in hand. And the metallics are perfect-not overdone. Ohaashi knows just where to put them little blobs of paint.

Fucking puhleeeeeeeeeeeze. You could have one Buta figure in addition to that giant spaceman and your collection would run circles around every other Buta collector that doesn't have a giant Spaceman! One giant Spaceman, and one other figure = Buta collection awesomeness!

One giant grail doth not a collection make. Thank you though. But it seems like it's ok to give it up for a lot of collectors here who not only have the pieces, but the time tracking 'em and the research as well. Wasn't being falsely modest, some of you young folk have been running circles around me! Look how Fedhai scored the little dino; I missed that, i miss a lot of stuff, like the naked cave people. Surprised that one of you didn't get it...
Somebody quick post a collection shot so's I can just scuttle back into the dark and stroke My Precious!
Then I'm going out to shoplift more ramen.

Hmmm.... IMHO, if I had to choose between a giant Spaceman and a decent sized collection of standard Butas, I'd choose the standard Butas, simply because I prefer variety, but that's just my own preference. Don't get me wrong, I'd also love to have a giant Spaceman (AND the standard figures), because I'm greedy
