I painted this Berserker fan art last year for my "Battle Jacket" (it's actually a vest) in honor of the first show at Death's Vault. Thinking about retiring this one and painting a new one, then I remembered I meant to post this here but forgot! Check it out and let me know what you think.

    The finished product!

Outline in white charcoal. Black twill fabric. Designed in Photoshop, printed reference also visible.

Blocking out the main filled areas. White acrylic paint.

After some detail work, started on the bottom lettering. Old English Text MT font, designed by William Caslon in the 1930s based on...old English texts.

Added some final touches and a little splatter and pinned to my vest for now. Modeled with some MVH toys!

Dang, good work! How did you get such good opaque white paint on the black fabric? Assuming it's titanium white but I never have great results on the first go... Just multiple layers? I use fabric medium and have to do multiple layers of most colors on any dark fabric.

Thank you! The fabric is twill so it's a bit more like canvas and doesn't absorb as much as other types of fabric. And I did block out everything first, then went over it again for detail so it does have 2 layers. Just some cheapo white acrylic paint from Michael's. I haven't tried any other colors yet though, it could just be the white that shows up so well because of the contrast.
