Not sure if you guys read the Mishka blog, but I do this every year, and its fun for me, as well as toy collectors. Enjoy! http://mishkanyc.com/bloglin/2010/12/29 ... purchases/
Great read! I love those rubber head eerie spectre pez characters. My wife has 2 of them in her pez collection and they are her favorites (and mine too). Damn things are expensive to buy but they are awesome. I would have loved to have seen them in a store as a kid.
yeah, Greg buys all these awesome things on Ebay so he can have them strewn all around his desk for visitors to ooh and ahh over.
#6 looks to be this galaxy heroes figure with a hebrew card. they were knock offs made by woolworths. they didn't have names, this one is usually referred to as "snake head" i can't seem to find a bigger picture on the net, but i believe the difference between them, besides the language, is the armor color. i may be wrong, but i think all american released galaxy heroes had gray armor, really digging that tan tone. these things are pretty funny in structure. they are almost like hard rubber bodies, and i always thought it funny that the legs have no joint articulation. sure is a pain to get them to stand. all of mine have various coins and whatnot under their heels. being in extreme toilet stance mode, they tend to fall backwards...
i really enjoyed this list, thanks for sharing. as a (relatively) young collector it's nice to see the pieces of history that come with long term collecting. and i'm always up for delving into the bay's hidden treasures.
It's usually "Weirdo Toys" outbidding me or beating me to stuff, glad to see someone else's stuff too. I need to be more focused on my bottleg toy searches, this is some more motivation.
