Yeah, I mean, he's gotta be a dick... He just looks like a dick, if you saw him on the street you'd be like "wow, I do not like that guy and I don't know why." But they made him out to be like dastardly... And I just don't think he's capable of dastardly deeds. Just dickish ones.
HAHA, so true. You never know though, his title was really all he had going for him. He'd probably do anything to keep it.
I didn't see that, I just saw him being a dick. I guess it's how each person takes it though. I love him however, his dickness is so perfect!
Your right, I thought it was really good. In recent Netflix, I watched Alice in Wonderland... Ummm, that was something... Not really good, not really bad, just a movie that exists that I will never watch again.
It all depends on your speed. If you get 4 dots+ HD its only a couple notches below blu-ray.Starz movies always look like shit though.
Make sure you're not doing other 'net things like downloading while viewing. The better the bandwidth, the better the quality. Also, not all of their instant view titles are even available in HD.
yeah there are some things that were never out in HD in the first place. with movies & shows it's mostly stuff released or remastered in the last couple years. refreshed with buffy/x-files etc but it's never going to get any better than it looks. something shot in redcam like antichrist will look at least as good as a dvd.
haven't watched it yet, but the human centipede is now available on netflix instant. is this good news?
Oh boy, how to answer that question? If you're interested, watch up until the "lecture" scene. You'll know it when you get to it, and it more or less tells you what to expect for the rest of the movie. If the prospect disgusts you too much, stop there. The mad scientist characterization is probably the best thing about the movie. Also, I liked that the ending was as disturbing as anything that preceded it. But is it a good movie? I guess so on one level because it's hard to forget, but you'll be left with a bad taste in your mouth.
You might want to take a look at the horror thread... viewtopic.php?f=5&t=36808&start=50 It's discussed there and might answer that question for you. Personally, I don't suggest it...
"I liked that the ending was as disturbing as anything that preceded it" also reads a bit ambiguous in that context...
I just started watching Lexx. I'm kind of afraid to continue. It sucks, but it's also hooking me in. It's like I know it's not good, but I enjoy it and can't stop watching it. Also Shawn the Sheep is my daughters new favorite (since we exhausted Wallace and Gromit.)
heh, in a related story netflix is changing up and becoming more streaming oriented. dvd by mail accounts will cost more, and an $8/month streaming account is now offered http://news.yahoo.com/s/yblog_techn...eaming-plan-for-u-s-raises-dvd-by-mail-prices
