Some info from MTC: Neo Eyezon mid sized soft vinyl figure. Debuts at Japan's Summer Wonder Festival 2009 and San Diego Comic Con 2009 (different version). Original sculpt by Yajima-san of Dream Rocket Japan. Based on Kaiju Eyezon design by Mark Nagata / Max Toy Company.
Awesome... I have no idea why Eyezon would need wings, but I love it. Mini or smallish sized is also awesome. Eyezon is a shelf-monster already, wings would make it even worse!
The eyes are even bigger, and on the look of it, it seems the right hand could have an eye too, I like it a lot. Now it has bat wings, next it could be driving a tank... I'd love a mini Drazoran & Tripus too. Can you remind me who sculpted the original Eyezon ? Is it Mark ?
Clay sculpt of the new Akakage figure from Dream Rocket- Girozun. According to the blog, the mouth will be made of 4 separate pieces to replicate its action in the original show. I am thinking that it might be able to rotate and extend outward, since he did something similar with Gazura's neck. The mouth parts will also be cast in GID. Definitely an odd toy, but such were the Akakage kaiju.
Can't wait for the Neo Eyezon colored pics, and wanted to show that I managed to track down a Pachi Drazoran! I love it!
Ben, that Maxx is awesome! You done good, sir! (I don't know if you mentioned it before, but for those who don't know, Ben custom-painted that Maxx in Kree Captain Mar-Vell colors!) The DP Xam is obviously the shit, too...
Ha, thanks for the shoutout! Maxx-vel actually just went up in the Custom Toys section, as well as on a number of other sites I frequent. He looked great fighting the kaiju this morning... can't wait to get some more MTC figures painted for a bigger fight!
Look at those colors! Are these smaller versions finally made in Japanese softvi now? I hope they are.
I believe so. Dream Rocket is handling production on these, so they should be the same as other DR toys.
Yessssssss! Where do I sign up? I want these in every room of my house and one in my car! At 2500Y a pop and still having posable arms, I never need to be without an Eyezon again. We need a glow ASAP.
Couldn't have said it better myself! But Dream Rocket seems kinda stingy with the glow vinyl. They sure don't make many glowies. I hope that changes soon...because I need me a glow Drazoran...and a Kyumaras (sp?) while we're at it!
Neo Eyezon is kinda cool, but the pupils on that one are super-sloppy. Maybe it's just a sample. If the production ones are better, I could definitely see myself owning a few of those little buddies.
